New version 1.2 is up. It addresses issues with the interior workshop recognizing floors for object placement, interior spawn points, and mod conflicts with the key's location.

Regarding the key's new location; after a deeper search of mod descriptions, I did find two mods that affect the new object where I'm putting the key. One is a retex, which doesn't affect the loose brick at all. The 2nd mod adds lights, is older than this one, and only has 3 endorsements. Actually, my water tower has more endorsements than that one has downloads. If you use that mod and have a problem, "wah."

As for some of you being "P.I.T.A.s", to paraphrase Redeye; YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF P.I.T.A.s, AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT!

Nice, but was a PITA because of the hint the key was under a "BRICK" when actually it was under a stone BLOCK!!!

    Especially like the view.

Really liking this mod. Its a nice lore and, reality friendly place to live.

I just have one problem. I'm unable to build garden plots in the exterior build area. I did check to see if I could in Sanctuary and the Red Rocket and was able to do so in both those locations, just not at the water tower.

I have one VERY important question: can you land a vertibird on the roof?

More importantly, will it sink through the tower if the cell refreshes?

I have problems keeping vertibirds on elevated platforms. Pretty much anything I build the vertibird will eventually sink through and rest on the ground. It's annoying.

I have NO idea. The concept of a vertibird landing never entered the picture when I was making this. If you have the problem of "vertibird sinking" consistently, it will probably happen here.

It seems to only happen on player-built stuff. I suspect if it was added via the creation kit it's a bit more "solid." I'll have to try it out.

I suppose worst case scenario I have to build a landing pad on the ground around the tower. No big deal.

Nice work, I am digging this player home, thank you :)

Just a quick question; it would seem that you edit the Vault 111 interior cell, does this trigger the infamous elevator glitch?

EDIT: I don't know if it triggers it in a new game but it doesn't seem to trigger in an existing one.

Said that it conflicts with the Sanctuary edit of Clean and Simple (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25350)

This mod includes a pre-war bridge, your mod changes it into the post-war one. Maybe messing around with the load order will make the problem go away.

Something tells me that is not going to get along with Sanctuary Estates either (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29656)

I respect your creative freedom however Sanctuary is probably the most modded settlement of the entire game.

Shouldn't affect the elevator. All I changed in V111 is a setting on the lock on the Cryolator case. I didn't move anything. The new update should no longer affect Sanctuary at all. I moved the key to the other side of, and a little away from the bridge, well outside of the Sanctuary build area.

    The Key?

Seriously, I read your post from: 12/2017

Look at the stone column behind the "certain container". The cursor target (dot) in the pic points to the EXACT spot of a "Loose Brick".

Now I'm guessing it's in the area of the Tower's boundaries? If not, ( and I actually did a 360 walk about taking one step out after each completion, .. after I looked in the " obvious " places.

So okay, I'm dense ...and my coffee lease ran out sooner than it should have. :P

    Where is the key?

I did go around Sanctuary ... and nothing, but there could be a ' challenge ' if it's there. I have already built it up .... ready for the Kids to move in from Concord - Museum ... I pre-built it, as I had this feeling it would be needed. ;)

      SIGH! Fine, here.

Take another look at the location pic. It does NOT point within the tower's boundaries. If all else fails, console.

Seriously, I'm not trying to be a P.I.T.A. ... but here are some thoughts.

I looked there, 2/b honest - actually all 4 of them, just in case, after I read the D. P. about Sanctuary ..... and your posted pics. It was NOT there? . o O ( Now likely due to the fact that I have a mod that changed the bridge to restored? )
I did just now go back and rechecked. No the " cinder block " is not there, and yes I checked very carefully... Likely ( ?? ) due to the mod that changes the bridge to restored, which also effects the columns as well ... ?

      Case In Point: Based on:

... Any other mod that alters the Sanctuary bridge will conflict. ....

There are with a quick look: 10 +/- Sanctuary Bridge Mods. From 154 LIKES to 4.8K likes and 100's of 1,000's of downloads. So maybe another place should be thought out? Because if these change your spot ... then it shoots your mod in the foot, so to speak. Just trying to make it so you do not get frustrated w/other people going through the same thing and asking the same questions over and over.

Plus another possible future " challenge " ( seriously I'm trying to be a P.I.T.A. ), but I know a lot of people who use the Vanilla " Scrapall " to clear out the basics of Sanctuary. Could that have a cause / effect too? < - asking an honest question here.

Plus I appreciate a good mystery with the best of them, I truly do. I even have an excellent idea who the prior occupant was. :) BTW - Nice " play " with the history of the place.

But as I was helping a few people with Skyrim Mods, I found I would ask/tell them: " ... what seems ' logical ' to you ... may not to other's and here is why: You thought it through and it ' worked ' in your mind. But it is always a good idea to give your " mystery and clues or lack there of ' to others who do NOT know how you think and work. Thus seeing if they ' see it or not '. "

Again, I'm not trying to be a P.I.T.A. ... I actually like what you did very much. ( I did use the console last night to see just how this might work for me? )

      GOOD JOB!

I can see your point. Trouble is, it can be hard to make a mod compatible with 10+/- (or much more) other mods. If I move the container, it could end up conflicting with a dozen other mods. I've been working on an update to fix the issue with the floor not working with placing objects in workshop mode and I think it's fixed. I may look at a couple of other things and I'll look at another location for the key for the next update.

...Actually, just had another idea, and I didn't find any mods on the Nexus that alter that particular object. Stay tuned.

why don't you see if you can use the cwss mod also in this so you can actually use the bathroom? I don't use build in red so can't add anything into the tower because it falls through the floors.

I remember someone having tried to make a player home or settlement in and around that Concord water tower, but it didn't work as it should. I also remember that, when climbing atop the tower, I was getting a message I was outside the build perimeter.

Seeing you've added a platform on top of the tower, you obviously increased build height, but, is it possible to add stuff up that platform, like walls and some such?

It's all part of the same build area. I just made it really tall and it extends quite a bit above the tower platform. You can build anything up there that you can on the ground.

Must have something to do with the floor meshes. I guess they're not being recognized by workshop mode as a surface to place objects. I use a mod called "Place Everywhere" which fixes problems like this. I'll have to play around with the floor surfaces in the tower when I get a chance.

Soko , to solve your little floor problem and I'm guessing they're sinking when trying to place things on the floor before you do and knowing that happens , ..
Go to decorations floor decor and place those rubber mats or floor carpets to your way of liking, and then place your dresser and whatnot .

Hello I really like the idea behind all this , and while it might not needed to be said , any all storage already there or created is safe against respawnage ?
I'm still going to try it out, because I really like the location and think I could really do something with, and since it tested for companion navmeshing ,just another question tho more equiry tho, how does that work having 2 workshop stations close one another like that ?
Sry just wanted to ask all workstations will be linked ?

The existing containers are vanilla workshop containers that can be created or scrapped. They should be safe, but I'm an incurable optimist. I had an occasion once with a filing cabinet that I MADE in the workshop respawn it's contents on me after a few days. This game can be weird about little things sometimes.

As for the workstations, originally, there was just an internal workshop. An outside workshop linked to the internal one was a request by someone in one of the earliest comments. It seemed like a good idea so I made it work. To make it work you have to link one workbench to the other as if it were a crafting workbench. I made the internal workbench the "master" one, and it needs to be activated before the shared inventory shows up.

I meant to come back and edit that post , just been in game having a look.. and POSSIBLE SPOILERS !!
I wanted to mention something mostly for other people I use a bridge mod, for sanctuary bridge its a replacer, ( and as with mods 101) so the stone pillar isn't there and "gave" myself the mysterious key
Unfortunately now the mod is hidden due to some more possibly been done on it but it called New Sanctuary Bridge and looks like this

Now something else I wanted to mention for other people if using both of these which doesn't cause in game issues per say , just one minor in concerns with the pillar and key..
This mod places the old bridge or somehow the old bridge shows back up along with the new bridge is still the both at the same time , now I still couldnt find key at the pillar so still had to give myself the key .
The bridge for those that use , needs to be loaded After this mod to have old bridge gone again ... THanks ( sry about spoilers )
-- Ernm note to Author sorry, but I'm in the process of replacing your given toilet and shower with ones from cwss mod
As I intend this to my home away from home till I get access to bos home --
Just remembered, I dont know about in other peoples games but mccready's ai seems to have issues when I guess sandboxing, he seems to get stuck on the stairs where the cooking station is instead of up he's stuck in place walking across it ><..

I don't care what you do with the toilet. What you do with this mod in your own game is your own business. I tweak other people's mods all the time. Just don't reupload it without asking.
