Hello. I'm posting to let everyone know that I have officially moved on to other modding projects. Like the Skyrim version of AFT, this mod was a work of love and ultimately about the companion experience I wanted out of Fallout 4. I don't make mods because of endorsements. but I would still like to take a second to thank those who took the time to endorsed the file. I would also like to thank those who monitor this forum and answer questions on my behalf..
While I no longer check these forums, I am still around working on mods for other games. If anyone has questions regarding AFT or needs to reach me, I can be reached via the PM system ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My starting advice for users having issues with AFT:
1) Make sure AFT is at the BOTTOM of your load order 2) Make sure the loose file "<install directory>\Fallout 4\Data\Scripts\followersscript.pex" does NOT exist. 3) Visit the incompatible mods forum and see if you have any of the listed mods. 4) TGM (God Mode) stops player combat events. When activated mid-combat, it makes the game think the player is forever in combat, which can break things like outfits, auto-relax and even idle chatter. For those who use TGM, go to 3rd person view, open console, click on the player and use the command "IsInCombat". If it says the player is in combat when they are not, you need to disable TGM and get into a fight to fix the state.
If 1 -> 4 are not the issue, then start a new game (temporary) and see if AFT is working in a new game. Sometimes conflicts are baked into save games from old mods that were previously installed. Especially mods that altered the follower system. A new (non-alt-start) game helps to rule that out.
is there a combatabillaty patch for this and CBBE Knee Fix For Animated Mannequins Patch im new to modding fallout so any tips would be helpfull aswell
excellent mod, have to always have it on my game. Just have to ask, does the sculpt option just not work on some NPCs? Even when turning into followers the sculpt option isn't showing for certain NPCs is there a workaround?
I had this issue as well when I switched companion tweaking mods and didn't follow instructions (not saying you did or anything but this should work).
Follow the instructions to uninstall AFT. After reloading the game with it uninstalled, double check you have no followers (send away any if you do). Close the game once more and re-enable AFT. You can use cheat terminal to teleport your companions back to get the gang back together quickly.
This is what fixed the schrodinger's companion bug for myself.
yeah, the AFT guide/note in-game has all those descriptions. I believe there is even a button in the holodisk to spawn a new note if you threw yours away.
I'm having a issue when i tell a follower to come with me is automatically dismissed, every time i ask to follow they just start walking to the settlement that is assigned as home.
Figured it out right after I posted. You have to disable player comments for each companion. This mod also appears to override, regardless of load order, various other mods. I have an infinite ammo mod for companions and it overrode that, so make sure you have your settings set right.
Edit: There's also a global setting to Ignore Murder which I found even later...
I can't assign Nora to anything in my settlement. Whatever I assign her to, the workshop mode indicates that she is assigned, but she acts as if she was unasigned. Does anyone know why?
has anyone found a "compatibility" for AFT and X-Cell as I found out X-Cell essentially attempts to "vanillanize" your companions in such a way that even using sculpt appearance via AFT master controller will not work

Thank you for a great mod but I have run into an issue.
The AFT shortcut on key 3 is gone. Is there a way to add it to slot 3 again?
I had an issue where the mod wasnt working although it was activated.
Cait has become a companion but she is not dismissable and wont follow me. She is somehow bugged.
had a similar issue with codsworth on a test save, did the trick. also got the aft (plus) patch
