This Mod worked great when I first installed, was getting zero settlement attacks when used, but on this new play through it refuses to work properly; I have uninstalled and reinstalled and seems to work for a while but then eventually the random settlement attacks happen even with them off...they stop for a while but then return...but not at all settlements, only a few like outpost zimonja (unpopulated) ,graygarden, and maybe 2-3 more...Sanctuary, abernathy, and most others no attacks,, very strange IMO... I would really love to get this working properly again. any advice would be most appreciated. I think I'll try turn attacks on, play awhile..then deactivating mod, playing a week in game, then re-enable mod and try it again again.hehehe
Sorry about delay replying. This mod sets the 'allowsettlementattcks' variable to false on the selected workshop. then registers the '(SettlementName)Attacks' variable in the mods quest script to true. This allows the menu to know if attacks have been enabled or disabled, The ingame quests that relate to minute men attacks also control this variable for stuff like the castle attack and a few others. as the mod still thinks it is off when it is on. If you use the toggle all on function this will reset the mod Variable and can then turn all or some of the settlements attacks off again. If you can only see the toggle all off option then use this twice to return to all on state. and again if you want all attacks off again.
This can turn on and off the settlement attacks? Nothing is more irritating then on missions and getting that. Would like to turn off then and turn back on when doing settlement building etc
Yes this was built so i can play quest mods without the irrtation of another bugged settlement, or having to go an defend a 300+Defence settlement against a radroach attack.
first option appears to do nothing. its brings you to a blank page. second option appears to also do nothing. there's no message, or output of any kind, and the option does not switch to turn it on again.
I was hoping this would allow me to disable random settlement attacks for specific settlements. I'm tired of my range on spectacle island, surrounded by water, getting attacked by robots n shit. i don't mind if other settlements get attacked though
hopefully this is the eventual intended functionality.
first option, as in (Individual settlements), should go to a list of your owned settlements the last option (set your own workshops), can set it to all workshops if thats the prob. But it should list all your settlements, as for doing the disable attacks on specific settlements didn't think of that will add to it but you sould have all same options as in vid unless creation kit has pulled a fast one again!!
Yes that is what it is ment to do. try the last option (set your owned workshops) and select (Allow Manipulation of unowned or unfound workshops ON) this will change remove the previous owner condition. If that don't work then the terminal thing just don't work. I normaly use scripted menus so can convert if this is a universal problem.
I tried your suggestion to reset previous owner condition, and it didnt seem to help, still a blank page.
and I actually meant it would be great if you could disable the random attacks for settlements. Right now I'm having to use NoSettlementAttacks, but I only really care about disabling just spectacle island for example. No mod currently offers that, and I couldn't quite get it working right..
Have you got f4se installed ? I didn't use any commands from f4se but i do have it installed other than that try opening comandprompt '@', and typing Player.PlaceAtMe XX0053FE, Replace XX with the number that SettlementSwitch.esp is in your load order. This will spawn the terminal linked to the holotape menu. To remove Use the comands 'disable' 'markfordelete', not got a lot of free time this week or next but will look at adding a individual control over settlement attacks i'e on/off and trigger but that will take a bit of time.
I see this mod in my future hard requirements section. I find that settlement mods either do too little or too much. I like the implementation of your mod. Thank you.
tracked as i think i need this.. but what in the world is that presentation... CC does better lol nah in seriousness.. might wanna go into more detail and walk thru the options and explain the quest section better... could use Oberland station as an example... and tell things like: will this upset the universe if i alter tenpines b/c it is tied to minutemen.. will undoing settlements b4 having what 8 or 10 in minutemen questline break the game etc etc

would be great if you can get it to allow disabling of specific settlements.
