Good guy Kung Fu Man alerted me recently to the Pipboy lacking the Unscrappable Keyword in the armor forms thus making it possible to accidentally scrap the Pipboy. It's an easy fix, but I will probably not add it to this mod as I rather not touch any of the vanilla forms. Hopefully Beth will fix this in an update soon. Just a heads up to y'all.
Could you add a version compatible with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27255? The incompatibility is minor, it's just that that mod also changes the mesh, so that the knob and the dial can also be retextured. I *think* making it compatible would be as simple as adding some vanilla textures to your BGSM files.
Yeah I am familiar with the mod, I helped Iza make it. Not sure what incompatibility you mean, does the knobs and dials still use her materials when you change paint jobs?
When I use one of your materials, then save, quit, start, load, the knobs are missing material. If I re-apply the same material on the workbench, it's fixed.
I've seen similar stuff happen with material replacements in other mods, too.
No, I used one of these "Optimized Textures" mods, which just replaces all vanilla textures. Can you tell me which textures are being used exactly for chrome?
Well that shouldn't affect things as far as I can see. Reasonably sure the cubemaps are untouched.
The chrome one uses 0801+0802 textures. Maybe will make a few custom cubemaps or take a further look at what vanilla has to offer as while they didn't look black when I tried em they weren't what I wanted.
I finally learned to add paint-jobs myself) One that I liked was with the Belka/Strelka stamps... added it in as a separate esp. Thanks kingtobbe for the mod and for inspiration!
Good to hear. I could never add all the amazing paintjobs already out there in this one mod, so glad you guys were up for some DYI to get the options you like :)
Honestly not sure why you thought this was relevant. However just cause something is readily available for free doesn't mean you own it and can redistribute it. Just like mods on Nexus, unless permissions allow otherwise.
do i need the creation sh+t? i got to the armor bench and find nothing, i got the backpacks mod instaled (not cration sh+t) this one http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3258/
You might have a conflict. A known one is with anything that fondles with the pip-boiiii light (like this one http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10840/?)
Try and disable anything that comes to mind under this set of criteria and see how it goes.
LIKE! <3 I was able to take the framework you made and remake it for 10 other reskin mods available on the Nexus. Now I can change my Pipboy in game at any armor workbench, anytime. THANKS!
It's a conflict. Pip-boy flashlight (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10840/?) makes the pip-boy menu in the workbench disappear. I wanted it for a Metro styled light... but (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16172) doesn't seem to conflict with any of the mods installed.

I really wish there was an indicator after clicking submit...
