UPDATE 2024: Currently not working due to the "next gen" update. I hope to have it working sometime during the summer. (irl is fairly busy so no ETA atm unfortunately)
Thank you for understanding!
[Information placeholder] If you like it and endorse it, i say many thanks!
As stated on the information page, this mod is considered done and final; should something come up, let me know. Thank you. 06/10-21
The reason is that the power armor frame changes your race when entered, so no matter what parts of the armor you wear or not, it still only counts as "power armor race". And the HUD is bound to this race, not the armor parts.
I would love to do a mod like that if it was possible.
Hello and thanks for this mod! I'm looking for the optional no third person hud mod and I can't seem to find it. If you've removed it, any chance you could bring it back? Thanks again.
Nice, my reshade with dof works now in first person PA ^^ I like the first person hud but reshade doesnt work with it... so bad...
I know it's too much ^^' but do you think is it possible to have the hud with the "what you've done that makes the reshade works" (surely something with transparency) ? Big thx ;)
Should be, but please do a search here on nexus first, i don't want to make a mod that has already been made. I'm fairly sure one of the HUD mods here does what you want.
Get back to me if you really cannot find what you want, and i will see what i can do.
Yes there is actually only one mod i've found that does that. The "No Transparency" mod has - as the name suggests - only nontransparent versions. And i only found this page here because of your post at eddyg86's mod-page.
That is the one i was thinking of, actually. I used it myself until i decided to get rid of the HUD alltogether; i find first person games a lot more immersive w/o HUDs personally. I only use 'minimalist user interface' now for the rare occasions when i need to be sure of smth.
I am assuming you are using the no transparancy mod now, or do you need me to make a vanilla version? (as stated, i prefer the no transparency bc it looks so cool; there's even a version that moves as you walk)
I'd really like you to do this kind of version, since his mod was made for 16:9 - and his fix for 16:10 looks as if someone tuched the "windshield" in 1st (looks like fingerprints all over in the top left/right corner). For me, the vanilla 1st and no-hud 3rd view would be the best compromise.
Ok, this is weird... I compared it with your main mod and noticed something strange. If i install the "3rd-only" version alone OR with the main one together, literally nothing happens - i first thought that something is wrong with the paths so i compared them.
Your main version disables the HUD-elements but keeps the shade effect of the windshield (still don't know how you would call it) intact. If I overwrite your main mod with the 3rd version, it does exactly the same as your main mod - disabling HUD-Elements in 1st/3rd ....AND... also disabling the shade effect in both perspectives (raindrops are still applied though).
It's so nice not to have all that stuff cluttering my PA HUD. Gopher's iHUD and your mod together makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Kudos, and endorsed.
Ah finally just what I'm looking for!!! Any chance you can work on a mod that forces power armor to use the standard HUD mode (as in when you're not in power armor)? I have my Def_UI set up with a tiny cross-hair for third person use, and I'd like to be able to use it in power armor.
I don't think so; the power armor frame changes your race, and that in turn changes your hud. I will take a look at it, but i don't think it's possible unfortunately.
I've been looking for this mod sience fallout 4 came out. The closest one was http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9409/? but sience an update it has some problems with the fusion core and ammo dials.
Just for you to know, i'm using Def_HUD http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10654/?, and the only problem that i found so far is that i cannot see some indicators, like HP or AP.
I can see the lootboxes, the interaction mesages, like the name of the npc when i point and them to talk to them, the open close doors/terminals and so, the Illness, dehydration, hunger, ammo and grenades amount, chem effect and all the rest of the DEF_HUD indicators just as if i were out of power armor, but not the HP and the AP as far as i tested, and of course, not the Fusion Core indicator, as there is none on the DEF_HUD mod because it's not suposed for Power Armors.
I understand that this mod is intended for clearing all the screen out, and the DEF_HUD inicators that i am actually seeing are probably a non intended bug, but, and this is a complete personal request, it will be awesome if you could enable the HP, AP and any other missing indicators of the DEF_HUD mod, because with that mod you can make the indicators very small, even a little transparent and move them wherever you want, like on the very bottom corners of the screen, to make them as less intrusive as posible, maintaining inmersion without loosing any information, like on this preset: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9441/? .
One last thing, im currently using No shaded Power Armor hud http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6047/? , with the Rain Covers Removed HUD; its perfectly compatible and they work together just fine.
I will keep testing this mod out and informing you with any bugs or problems that i may come across, but as far as it goes, i just cant thank you enought for it. :)
Glad you like it, i guess i could make a version with HP/AP & Cores. -but you know that you also have sounds telling you these states? Heartbeat/breath/beeping & you can see it in the pipboy.
Normal UI & interactions are supposed to work, that's not a bug. (i use Minimalist User Interface myself) http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9412/?
Can you upload some screenshot so i know excactly what you mean, please?
So if you use that UI too you know what im talking about.
And yes, i could use the hearthbit, breath and beeping sounds, and of course the Pip-boy, its just a matter of utility i think. I mean, if i can already see all the other indicators, it would be fantastic to have the ones that are missing.
I've been playing for a while now with this mod, and i cannot find any other bugs or problems except the HP, AP, the core, rads, compass, and ammo count (it only shows the explosive count, see the Screenshot) but except for those, and if i am not missing anything, the mod works perfect. Thank you again.
I don't know how should I call it It is what this mod does exactly: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6047/?
Oh and btw they work togeather perfectly well, so I can have no hud with no blackened screen. I found this out after I wrote the previous comment. But If you'd still make the alternate version people wouldn't have to use 2 separate mods to achive the same effect.

Anyone here post 25/04/2024 looking to have high FOV without PA UI breaking probably wants something like this, sad to say no fix.
Thank you for understanding.

Tbh i'm not sure what you mean?

Will need you to verify it is working.
Edit: i am working on it, but it will take a week or so.
Rl is keeping me quite busy atm.
what tools do you use to make that kind of mod?
Not as easy as i thought; i have to fiddle around with data in order to get everything to line up.
EDIT: It's up now under optionals: "No 3rd Person PA HUD".
Let me know if it works ty.
(remember to disable other PA HUD mods)
If i install the "3rd-only" version alone OR with the main one together, literally nothing happens - i first thought that something is wrong with the paths so i compared them.
Main: Data\Meshes\Interface\Objects
3rd: Data\Meshes\Interface\PA

....AND...
also disabling the shade effect in both perspectives (raindrops are still applied though).
I will start a new version from scratch but it will take some time.
I hope to have it ready by the weekend.
Cheers
Edit: still working on it, along with another new HUD, it will just take a while as RL is quite busy atm.
I will take a look at it, but i don't think it's possible unfortunately.
Edit: my bad, gopher already made it here: power armor hud.

(ie only enable my pa hud mod; Optional version, it has no textures so it should be "lighter" on performance)
cheers
(it works for me, but getting confirmation is even better
