Firstly, I wanted to thank everyone that has come to this mod, downloaded it, and enjoyed it. Thank you again for all the support and appreciation.
That said, I wanted to make it imminently clear that this mod will no longer receive updates and is no longer being worked on actively. I have a full time job that often requires me to work 58 hours a week, and managing a mod can be a full time effort in itself.
That said, as the long-standing patron of Atom on the Nexus, I am still maintaining this page. If you have made improvements to the mod, fixed any noted bugs, or even retextured any items, please contact me. You will receive full credit. Atom bless you for your effort.
I am publicly announcing here that interlopers inquiring about mod compatibility, at my discretion, will have their post publicly executed. There are a lot of mods out there, and I'm not even developing this mod at this time. If you still want to inquire about compatibility on this page despite this and don't want to be banned from accessing this mod send me a PM.
Long live the Children of Atom, and Atom guide you and yours.

-Added file for a .esl version of CoA Overhaul CBBE as provided by kcissicknasty.
This mod looks amazing, thankyou for all your hard work on this. I've been considering taking up learning about modding for Xbox ports (as well as some changes I'd like to make to the game). Would love this as a standalone if you'd happy for someone to spread Atom's glory to us Xbox users with our paltry 2GB mod limit.
[[If you are interested in porting the game to the XBox I'd ask that you'd communicate to me in PMs. Secondly, I'd ask that you do not waste my time inquiring about making an XBox port if you're not dedicated to finishing it. Thirdly, you'd be responsible for consolidating the updates and I'd require any changes be made in good faith to adhere to the original content. Lastly you'd also be responsible for further patches and updates if adjustments for the Xbox as needed.]]
Thanks for that! Getting into modding is going to take a fair investment on my end (I need a PC/Laptop that can actually run for example), let alone learning the basics from scratch, so any mods/ports will be a long way off from my end. If/when I'm ready to give it a go and prepared to take on the responsibility of updates/patches, I'll absolutely PM you and let you know. Thanks again for your reply and your work on this mod!
Fellows, all ye lovers of the good Light and seekers of the glow. Within your writhing rank one has humbled their flesh and cast themselves into the forge. Long have their fingers ached, splintered have their fingernails been, and supping upon the sweet succor of the Glow have they. When thou sought to lounge, when thine appetites subsumed you, and when your throats were parched you satisfied yourself. But lo, this one, precious amongst you, pierced themselves with needle, and the threads they drew were sated with their blood. Steel wrought hot was tempered with this one's sweat! See now how the wood he plied hath grown fat with the oil of his broken hands.
Let it be known on this day that amongst you stands not just an Artificer, but a High Artificer.
Behold, beloved of Atom, another Artificer has stepped forward! Acolyte kcissicknasty has risen amongst you and yours to become an Artificer. Praise be to Atom! May his forge never cool, his hammer never break, and his lungs remain forever besotted with ash!
I've read through many of the comments here and after playing this mod I am left chasing ghosts.
Specifically I'm looking for that wonderful gun. The gamma gatling repeater or whatever it is. I've checked locations of CoA Far Harbor and the commonwealth proper but not the glowing sea and I have not found anyone carrying it or selling it.
I'd also like to know if there is an effect in the mod like Robes Of Atom's Devoted for any of the armor pieces, to facilitate using them with inquisitor of atom builds.
I know this mod isn't being maintained, but really, I could use some help finding Atom's holy light here.
[[I haven't parsed through my own mod in a while, but if I recall NPCs will sometimes be wearing the armor sets I made. I'm not certain if they use the weapons precisely. However all the weapons and armor can be crafted at lvl 1. Older comments even complained that in early game the armor is a bit overpowered.
If you don't see the armors on any NPCs or you don't see any of the gear in your crafting table you have some sort of mod conflict. I'm not certain what effects I put on the armor, if any. It's been like, 8 years since I looked at it.]]
Thanks for your response. I am finding lower leveled ashland gear on NPCs and such no worries there. It was mainly weapons. I got surprised when I went to Crater House and didn't immediately get melted. =)
Yes, and it seems weird that people were complaining about it being too OP early game because you can't craft a gamma repeater before Act 2 in the game without being at least level 41, having science! 4 (to manufacture a gatling laser, absent the brotherhood) and nuclear physicist 3.
In fact, I find the requirements to be a bit onerous personally, especially since Rank 3 of NP is bugged on PC, and I normally would avoid taking it. But that's my personal opinion.
My big concern is this mod doesn't seem to favor an inquisitor build** at all, which seems to be a missed opportunity.
** Leveraging the Radiation Immunity effect of the Robes of Atom's Devoted, + things that increase with radiation, like Inquisitor of Atom) (where the build gets its name)
I may have to write a patch so that some of the ashland gear has the same effect as the robes of atom's devoted so that your inquisitor builds can wear this armor.
[[There was no opportunity to miss, I ended up in the manufacturing sector IRL and was unable to support either modding or even screen archery/narrative writing. For instance, the Ashlands gear was only going to be one set of many future sets I had in mind which is why they're not optimized in any particular way and lack noteworthy build potential. This mod, and I must emphasize, was released in August 2017.
That said I've always encouraged mods and will personally host any and all patches or fixes anyone has decided to make. I'm not in tune with the game any longer, so things like Nuclear Physicist 3 being bugged is entirely new to me.
The Sigil of Atom is a gear item that was supposed to set all Children of Atom to friendly to you. It's an integration from an even older mod than mine. I suspect it doesn't work, but as it's not my original work I'm not certain exactly what is wrong with it. In the years since no one has seemed interested in investigating it. ]]
First I'd like to thank Atom for an exquisite offering in this mod.
Ever since the latest update, the Bethesda rule wants it that any alteration to an NPC (even more so if it's a vanilla one I guess) needs a facegen regeneration through VEFS, lest it induces frustrating stutterings.
Further explanation can be found on the X-Cell mod page, which is a cure to the stuttering at the price of providing said facegen regeneration files.
It is therefore my impression that this mod would also benefit from regenerated facegen. An example of such files has been provided by another mod author for (at least 1 + 1 = 2) parent mods to this one.
Maybe could that author be petitioned to do the same for the main mod ?
I'm currently experimenting this this. X-Cell does allow mass exceptions, though it can slow down performance. I currently exclude all my human companion NPCs. It is possible to exclude them from X-Cell entirely by modifying the .ini file, though I haven't tested this yet with CF_AtomicWarlord.esp NPCs.
VEFS has a pretty smooth "Quick Face Fix" option that usually solves any NPC with a missing face by simply creating an exclusion; however, the more modded NPCs you have, the slower your performance. For me, this means that I get lag with anything touched by COA Overhaul and COA Settlers while the game tries to show generate their faces on-the-fly.
I have not figured out how to generate faces yet in VEFS, but I will create a FaceGen for COA Overhaul when I do. I'm currently getting jammed up creating only the files I need and with the archive formation. I'll provide more when I can!
Go on child, check the archives. Did you check the top shelf? We had a ladder I kept beneath my desk, made of a fine wood. However Acolyte Lessa had taken it to make an adjustment to Initiate Gabba's weathervane and broken the blessed item in the attempt. T'was a shame, that, but no one thing lasts forever. However, any time I enter the archives I get a crick in my shoulder and I cannot help but reminisce about that ladder.
Strange, too, don't you think, that we become fond of inanimate objects. Perhaps it's usefulness to me is what gave me so much heart. Perhaps too it was the strong wood from which it was made, though even when broken it held Lessa's leg firm as it mended.
Hm? What's that? The thing you were looking for isn't in the archive? Ah, shame upon shame, then. The Artificers across the way are always looking for forgers. If you can't find what you're looking for, make it, they say. Ah hah!
Perhaps, I had thought, Atom's brilliance had cast upon your eyes cataracts. But upon yours I see naught. Perchance, worm, have thou been apprehended of the capacity to read? Nay?
Then begone with you, for your answer has already been given and it was not given here. Worms such as yours are so eager to grab they have yet to gaze upon what is held fast. At the end of all things your flesh and mind shall be given to Atom, so unto you I say to stand upon your feet and find your own way. You'll see the path was clear all along.
your wandering shall be rewarded, the water you seek will be found on the South of the Sea - Atoms Storm post page, Julianos has given you a taste now engorge yourself.
Imagine so, within thine mind's eye, yonder flies supping upon a smearing of scat. Thusly, one to the other proclaims, "Thine wings shine more dully than mine", and in response its companion retorts, "Aye, but thine hairs are less stiff than mine".
Save thine spit, for to the glory of Atom should all your efforts go. Put aside your ambitions and raise thine cup to the dullard, for in time both thine skulls shall be food for the worm. Let thine short life give glory to Atom. Praise be!
Well there's South of the Sea and another mod called South of the Sea: Atoms Storm which is a continuation of the first. The Atom's Storm one says it's compatible in their pinned comment.

This mod is NOT compatible with South of the Sea!
South of the Sea INCLUDES this mod in its entirety. You WILL lose your equipment from this mod, as it will need to be deactivated/uninstalled.
If you DO NOT want South of the Sea and its changes, download THIS VERSION!
Thanks again for your reply and your work on this mod!

(I've been looking for a coa overhaul for a while and im happy to find this)
However, there is always a spot in the great forge. Mayhap you could craft for yourself? My bones are old you see.
I understand, you have done more than enough, rest now. You deserve it.
Be a dear and set forth yourself, and return and tell your fellows.
