    oooooo!WARNING!oooooo

ooooooIssue: Vanilla Game: In Fallout 4 there are some doors of sunken ships which look like you can swim through them but you can't because they are slanted.

ooooooAesthetic Issue: The Scuba Tank hoses don't connect to anywhere. I'm unable to do anything about this; I'm seeking help from other modders / modelers.

ooooooAesthetic Issue: Fishing Rod Weapon modifications are incorrectly positioned. The barbs and blade are misplaced on the rod. I'm unable to do anything about this; I'm seeking help from other modders / modelers.

ooooooIssue: In order for perk effects to work, you must use this mod for a new game. Perk effects apparently will not work if installed on a preexisting character save.

This is a great mod, just have a few questions.
    1. I noticed this mod conflicts 3 scripts with Fallout 4 Script Extender. Which should overwrite?
    2. I also have a few conflicts with the mipblur_DefaultOutside1.dds cubemap is this okay to overwrite?
    3. What are the resolution of the textures? If not 4k, is there plans to bring 4k?

Nevermind, I can't do it, for now. I'm not sure if the process changed for modding this game since I did it years ago, but for now, progress on my FO4 mods is halted. I am currently struggling to update this mod for months. I have spent many days in my life, on and off, trying to mod FO4 again. Besides IRL sh*t, I have also been busy with other projects.

Q: "Well what's the problem anyway? Why can't you mod Fallout 4?"

A: Nothing works for me. No Guide or YouTube Tutorial I've seen so far is able to help me resolve issues with crashes, glitches, invisible meshes, mods not loading, and MO2 not working with FO4. I am unable to continue development on my FO4 mods for these reasons.

The guides I have found are all for people who own the DLC, which I can't afford. If you don't own the DLC for a Bethesda game, you're gonna have a bad time. No guide will be suitable for you, and you will receive no support.

Search engines have also changed drastically since when I started making my FO4 mods, so it is now much harder to actually find information related to modding.

Q: "Why can't you ask on Discord?"

A: I'm not sure what happened after a while, but I can't really get help lately in the Discord servers.

Apparently only a select few smart people know how to truly mod these games. The rest of us just follow their instructions. I tried asking nicely in every single Bethesda-game-related modding Discord that I found, but almost every time I ask a question, I get ignored perpetually or given vague 1-sentence answers every several hours. I can't demand help or a response, so I have to cut my losses and move on.

Advice I often hear when asking for mod help is "be patient" but this is why I can't really provide major updates for my FO4 mods for years now - because I actually can't do it and I can't get support. This is not a cry for attention. I have come to accept the fact that the person I am, and the mods I make, are not popular in this world.

Q: "Wait, what? How could you forget how to mod Fallout 4?"

A: Very simple actually: I haven't done it seriously in years, and I don't even know how I managed to create these mods in the first place if I'm struggling so hard now to simply get MO2 and the CK to work correctly.

Q: "So where does this leave your FO4 mods? Shatter, Aquaboy, etc?"

A: I honestly don't know. Maybe someone who cares can eventually reach out; maybe someone will help me understand FO4 modding or at least update this mod. Maybe I can actually find a tutorial/guide that will work for me. Seeing as how I haven't had many people reach out for the 6 years the mod has been up, I'm going to accept that maybe nobody ever will. (Ever since creating the mod, I have bascially had HELP WANTED signs asking for help with certain issues.)
      Until then: good luck.

If anyone knows of a FO4 modding guide that DOES NOT require you to own DLC, please let me know. I'm just looking for something stable, Vanilla+, and preferably a guide that can help me set up MO2 to work with FO4 and the CK.

So can anyone actually point me in the right direction as to where the heck to find the gear? I downloaded this mod years ago and found it but I dont remember how or where. I have been searching all over the east coast and the shops and found NOTHING. Some actual help instead of cryptic locations would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this getting updated and I'm excited, I've never seen this mod before and I love these kind of things to make the gameplay more in-depth. I can't wait to explore the new locations.

With aesthetic issues, sadly this is an important part for me - with the scuba suit. Perhaps I can think of the version where the disconnected tube is removed entire, only the one that's connected to the green machine on the chest remain. It's not as realistic, but at least there's no tube going at nowhere and the whole thing can be handwaved into Fallout tech

I'd love a version without the fishing rod weapon too, kind of streamlined down to fix aesthetic problems.

Hopefully with this popping back up into peoples views some modder will be able to pull off fixing the suit looks wise.

I am no longer getting radiation damage from water with rank 1 of perk...

I didn't start a new game, is this the reason?

It's unfortunate that the game works this way, but I don't think there's anything anybody can do :(
immersive Aquaboy Scuba System will always be here for your next playthrough!

Why would you install the mod midsave?

if it's not too much to ask could you create a file with just the world edits for those of us that would love to liven up our sea floor but run with alternative mods for sea exploration and/or don't want to overwrite the aqua perk

EDIT: dose the breath mechanic from this mod overwrite waterbreathing like in the Submersible Power Armor Redux mod?

any chance we could get a merged ESL version of this?  I just installed it and notice it is taking up 3 esp slots for a piece of equipment that I'm arguably going to get maybe 3 hours of total time wearing, even if I did the optional quest mods with water elements to them.  Don't get me wrong here, I love the concept you are working with and the look is spot on.

Thanks for making this mod! Made exploring the waters of Far Harbor much more enjoyable. Works great paired with a custom radio that plays scuba breathing sounds!

    Some ideas:
    - A variant of the cut Underwater Vault 120 (The cut "20 Leagues" quest was to take place here)
    - Unique Flora for underwater (Coral, Seaweed, Sea Sponge, stuff like that)
    - Some new underwater locations (Pre-War Underwater Facility or just plain Sunken Watercraft & Aircraft)

BTW, Great mod so far! Keep it up! :)

Personally I love these ideas and think they would make for some great additional content which has largely been ignored by both Bethesda and the modding community (no hating) in general. Take one look at Libertalia with all of the boat wreckage laying about. TONS of exploration opportunity.

@itsbooby I really love your mod bro.Thank you for creating it. I hope you decide to expand it further.

I stopped playing and modding Fallout 4 a while ago but I really want to get back to it to finish some of my ideas with great input like this from you guys. Eventually, I will reinstall Fallout 4 and get back to work on this mod. I would have loved to add an underwater base and more.

would be nice if you do - i also returned to fallout 4 a few times over the years (out so long already ^^) and usually test out new mods that changes the game experience quite a lot. this time i play with horizon and have to say, this is far more like what fallout 4 should have been all along...
this bring me to my concern about your mod being a problem to horizon due to the change in the perk - which horizon also change in a similar way minus the added dive times. it also removed the full radiation immunity from the perk and changed it to a -75%  rad-dmg at rank 2 (-50% at rank 1) which only sounds still much until you dived into more than knee-deep water without any rank at all... then you see horizon increased the 'normal' radiation damage when submerged quite a lot. essentially, with rank 2 and a medium amount of normal (not hazmat or PA) and no rad-x you get less than 1 rad/s (might be about 1/4 rad/s ... hard to say). this would be about the same amount as your 200 rad defense, when using the full gear, would give the player - so if you ever return to this mod, a optional patch that won't interfere too much with the horizon system would be nice.
for now i use your mod with some edits i done (because i really wanted a way to dive longer and horizon also removed the 'breath underwater' part from the 2nd rank... and your locations to explore off the coast is pretty cool too... only thing that the game now neede is a underwater fighting system for fighting off sea-monster ^^)
