Thanks for all the support on this mod. To address some peoples issues with sounds either playing too frequently, too loudly, not enough, or not liking a certain sound, I'm afraid there's no perfect version I can make for everyone. Everyone has a different taste in what they like, and don't like. My goal with this mod was simply to bring the awesomeness of the original Ambient Wasteland from Fo3 and FNV to Fallout 4. If anyone wants to configure their own version of the mod, and send it my way, I'd be happy to add it to the file downloads, but if I were to cater the mod to every single person so specifically, I'd be cutting back on a lot of stuff trying to please everyone's wishes. I hope you understand.

Did this mod add the falling metal pipe sound, occurring in settlements?!

This mod is Terrifyingly enjoyable. I haven't felt this freaked out walking around at night, (with Darker Nights, of course) since I first played the game. The other day I was walking through a wooded area, and it sounded like there was a werewolf chasing me. I kept looking for enemies but didn't see any, which made it worse. LOL, LOVE IT!

I can't open the Rar File - neither can Vortex. It's written protected?
Well the file has 0kb. No idea what's happening.
Redownloaded the file - had to do it manually. I now have a 0kb file I can't delete because ... reasons. lol.

Hearing what sounds like a whale when it rains is too much.

The only thing that would come close to "whales" is nondescript hums that play exclusively during radstorms.

This is a great ambience mod, but unfortunately for freaking horror mod pack. This screaching, howling and god knows what sounds is terrifying.
You peacefully sit in your settlement, drinking nuka cola and you hear this soul piercing howl or growl in the distance. And it's not just one, but multiple loud growls like if there is something even more terrifying than deathclaw. And even that you know it's just sound and there's nothing in the distance, this is still horrible to hear. 10/10 for dirty pants in the night.

It's a good mod. Does what it says. For me though, with this particular game, the orgins of the sounds you hear is very important to pay attention too. In a more combat-neutral game, sure,I like the ambience and natural creatures in background. But in Fallout, sheesh! If there is a growl or gunshot nearby,it can mean either an incoming threat or an opportunity for aggression. I'm endorsing this mod because I appreciate the hard work and detail put into it...I just can't use it,though. :/

you can just use the 'ambient wasteland.esp' file from 'Realistic ambience overhaul' (version v6), which removes the crystal sounds
