Initial Release version 1.00: Makes the major game markers visible while in-game. Move them around (using the console) wherever you want. Their new position will be saved the next time you make a save. Disable mod when you don't want to see them in-game. No scripts, .esp only.
Geek Note: Yeah, I'm aware they aren't "rectangles". I had no idea what to call them and didn't take the time to look it up. I've since looked it up:
"Cuboid: N 3. Geom. A solid resembling a cube, with the rectangular faces not all equal; a rectangular parallelepiped."
Known Issue: While this mod is enabled, the game may have problems moving markers when it needs to. If you don't expect the game to be moving markers while you have this enabled, then there's really no issue. Just be warned that some mods like Teleport mods may not work entirely correct while this mod is enabled.
Thank you. Huge modlist and had this super annoying map marker that would have me travel to it while I wanted to go to another location. Not sure how they pulled that off, but at least I was now able to track down the mod causing it!
Hello Have read most of the description, and yes it can break things moving things around, but all I'm looking for and not yet found .. Is a mod that shows where ( not sure what they're actually called ) certain speech npc markers , ones that tell any npc you have with you to say certain things upon entering a room... There's a subway home mod of red rockets that as you enter with a companion that has them say how it stinks like , but they will say it regardless of how you use a workshop mod to make it look better ,for immersun sake Was wondering , Can I find it using this, ?? That's all I want something like this for , dont know of any other mods that show invisible markers like those
Those markers are quite large . They are basically a trigger zone for the npc to say a specific line or do a specific action... Has nothing to do with the location status. Unless there is a mod that shows ALL markers...Only way to remove those is via CK...
I may not move anything, but it would be interesting to see it while in the game and not just the CK. Are you going to add other things, like light sources and such?
Moving the large 2 green/cyan square Mapmarkers "M" hin, hint... is hellpful for training a Vertibird Pilot to land on the pad properly... because if you select a pipboy marker the vertibird will head for the big "M"'s... so I put them in the middle of the pad but...
while ive been experimenting i also moved the SPAWNING point in the driveway for when you teleport INTO sanctuary... i moved it down the street to my Vertipad on the Corner lot toward the bridge
If I DEPLOY a vertibird to a settlement it will land exactly in the middle of th pad with the @ BIG M's i moved onto it.. but I think I will move the tall red rectangle with a nose back to the driveway of the hammer house because one of my pilots might be trying to avoid the tall rectangle... I put the RED X also in the middle...
@bait4Dragons Moving the map marker is a NO NO..... If you move it out of its original cell you could break the settlement... and since you cant see cell borders ingame youre basically rolling dice... Also note some locations (most) have a Xmarkerheading that the map marker points to. Vertibird mods can land on their own pads that are equipped with certain keywords and even use a fast travel mat. In my mods if i have a vertibird landing pad/zone i place a specific marker for it...and ALL vertibirds see that as priority.(if you move the map marker in those mods it wont make a difference)... Im just showing you that it isnt as simple as you think. Even the navmesh plays a big role for landing. Example: if you use the FPV mod and try to land where the navmesh is sunk under the terrain the vehicle will sit on the navmesh and sink as well... Or wont land at all if the navmesh doesnt support it..
@mod dev can you make a mod that makes the map markers INvisible my game has a bug that has ALL and i do mean ALL sound icons smoke icons and other things that make the games um things show up in world but ALL visible can you make a mod that fixes that PLEASE!!!
I realize this mod is a little old, but figured it can't hurt to ask for a favor. Any chance you can make this mod also show ambient sound/acoustic markers? I'd love to be able to see and move the markers that dampen sounds when you are indoors in some areas.
If there was a way to make the markers only visible in workshop mode and/or if you could toggle them on and off, that would be great For now, I'm going to see if this helps me find the door and travel markers in Home Plate, which seem to have gone astray during a rebuild
No, I've seen that but it's just a mess of wires in the game, kind of beautiful but pointless. The navmeshes are for Npc's to navigate if I'm not way out of 'line' here Did you get that? Wires, line? I'm probably way too much fun for the internet
Oh nooo? Is that how the world looks for my followers? Like a twisted bowl of spaghetti? And here I am yelling, and kicking, and hitting them with my baseball bat, for not finding their path. My poooor pooor girls, forgive me, I didn't know? I must buy flowers, lots of them! Awaaayyyy
Lol. It doesn't show the actual navmeshing that modders add, but it shows the contours so you can see where they SHOULD've added it. I suppose you want to make sure that the modders actually knew what they were doing, huh?

my game is showing these without ever installing this mod, was wondering what could cause that and how to turn them off?

I have Scrap Everything, and I'm able to see those names when I hover the cursor over certain areas, but otherwise, I am unable to see them.
