hey mate, yes it does. It effectively uses the same scripting that gives you a bottle cap, expect expanded to vanilla game access or vaniulla access I've duplicated.
I've drank, eaten, injected, inhaled, and otherwise abused my characters body to test all the items
hey Mate :) I thought about that when I was working on this, but decided against it; mainly because you can't refill them. When I have time to work on updates, I will rethink it.
I like this mod, I like recycle my stimpunks, but it is incompatible with "Better Item Sorting" or at lest with the spanish translation, I preffer "Better Item Sorting" instead of "Valdacil's Item Sorting" because the first is in Spanish.
Is it dificult do this mod comaptible with "Better Item Sorting?
hey Mate shouldn't be a problem. I have some free time later this month and I am hoping tog et a few updates done. I will take a look at a look at BIS for ya :)
Might I suggest you swap out the milk bottle for, say, an empty Nuka-Cola bottle? Purified water and NC bottles each weigh 0.5 while milk bottles weigh 1, meaning that with the mod as it presently is your inventory gains weight as you consume water.
And in regard to water giving a milk bottle, I used that mesh because it was the closest vanilla asset bottle that looked vaguely like the purified water mesh. I thought about creating a custom 'used water bottle' but for the sake of simplicity, I stuck to vanilla assets.
Maybe try and reach out to the creator of Give Me That Bottle? Handling all these filling bottles and then using them is exactly what he does. I haven't looked at the plugins yet to see if these two mods would be compatible (I suspect they won't be ), but it might be something to look into make a compatibility patch for (or maybe just straight up get permission to include their functionality in your mod).
@Freso i agree with this, i mostly prefer Give Me That Bottle when it comes to drinks and the way it handles everything, but i also like what this mods dose for the other stuff, i wouldn't mind compatibly patch that just overrides so that Give Me That Bottle handles the drinks.
That seems to work OK. That mod only affects raw components and their cooking recipes at the cooking station. My mod has scripting attach to when a food or drink is used.
If you do get any weirdness I didn't, speak up and I will look int it
This mod is similar to "Food Scrap - Get Syringes from Stimpaks and more" by Oakland Elliff - Pronounced Oak Lend Eliph Each mod has their differences. Just thought people might like to know
I love using this mod, it's really great. The only thing I would like is for there to be a change in the weight of empty bottles. When you drink Purified or Dirty Water, which weigh 0.5 weight, you get the Empty Milk Bottle, which weighs 1.0 weight. Would you be able to fix this discrepancy? It becomes a bit annoying in Survival mode. Thanks!
Semi-compatible; nothing will break, but having both will yield two bottles since both mods are using script to give a bottle. My mod does what this one does in regard to giving a bottle, so if you prefer that mod, I'd be happy to make an adjustment
I don't know what Astrofel wanted out of your mod, but the thing that made me install Give Me That Bottle over the top of yours is my desire to actually use the specific bottle I have in my inventory. I like having a collection of water in various bottles... milk bottles and nuka-cola bottles and beer bottles.
Sure, only the original 'purified water (can)' works for crafting, but I actually used that as a way to separate water I intended to drink from water I use in construction/crafting.
Your mod, on the other hand gives me back everything else... which is awesome and well worth the endorsement I'm about to give it. (Forgot to do so ages ago! Whoops!)
As an additional note: I don't seem to get back two bottles either. I just get the bottle that Give Me That Bottle dictates the drink should give, so in that regards it works great. I've had no compatibility issues at all between the two. If that were functionality added to your mod, however... I could totally free up a space in my load order for other things and get rid of a little redundancy... but I understand if sifting through eighteen thousand different 'bottle - empty bottle' combos isn't your idea of a fun afternoon's modding or anything.
Just a bit of wishful thinking. I'm always brushing up against that 255 mod limit...

Fill a glass bottle - get a box of dirty water.
Drink dirty water - get nothing back.
Purified water returns a milk bottle
What exactly are you asking me? I am happy to make changes based on feedback
