First of all, insanely good mod, thank you for this.
Anyone else having issue where after exiting a container (finish looting), very rarely, Heather starts for no reason shooting other followers, either main one or Dogmeat. And when im in Home Plate where i have most of my dismissed companions, she often attacks Buddy, triggering my other followers to attack him as well. Not sure why she's bullying him :D
Based on the reports I've had here I think this is a mod list issue and most likely a faction issue. She won't attack unless the others aggro on her and usually that's a faction issue. Unfortunately this doesn't happen in my game nor in the streamed game I watch where the player spends a lot of time in settlements doing various settlement things. I would expect it to show up in his stream if it was a simple Heather bug. So it's either a conflict with a mod only a few people use or it's a bug in the mod that only happens occasionally to a few players and that makes it very hard to track down.
I think someone was able to get around the issue in their game by changing her combat style to passive. If you are attempting to manage her with a multi follower mod remove her from it.
No multi follower mod except the Dogmeat one... but i do have like 700 mods including Horizon which changes ton of stuff, so the possibility of this issue not being caused by another mod is basically zero, just checking if anyone figured it out, I will try to change her combat style though, thanks.
I have also encountered similar problems. She would suddenly attack certain NPCS, which seemed illogical. For instance, she would attack Carla or even the cattle on the Abernaxi Farm🤷♂️This made me put handcuffs on her🤣
Hi, I'm having this problem. It appeared when I tried to connect to F4SE. F4SE Status: OK xdi Status: Failed xdi.dll is not running. Make sure xdi.dll is in the data/F4SE/Plugins/ directory.

Greetings. Please can we have the quest not trigger unless you are near her or after you first visited bunker hill please? I get the radio straight out of the vault and that might be a bit "spammy".
Don't tick the mod active until you are ready to go to her. Also, you should know that she is located on the Sanctuary side of the river and not that close to Bunker Hill so that wouldn't make sense.
Oh, yeah, well the radio isn't spammy. You get the notification, similar to the radio notification for the quest with Danse in Cambridge. You don't ever have to listen to the radio. Just tick the quest active when you are ready to go get her. She's near Covenant.
Decided to get Curie back from Vault 81 and on the way Heather started singing mighty mighty man and I went "alright that was actually pretty cute". After sneak killing some rando mercenary I went "I wonder if they interact" then she starts talking to Curie about this medicine and they share a sentence or two. I went "oh this mod is actually cool and I feel bad that I waited this long to get it"
then she started singing into each life some rain must fall then I got killed by a legendary albino deathclaw who's footstep sounds just don't exist 11/10 experience
pairing her up with Curie is cuteness overload especially when Heather just starts singing lol, another homerun after Willow :) massive respect
Just recalled this mod when seeing photos of two cool characters in Cyberpunk 2077 and felt that I miss companions there. And then felt even stronger that I miss Heather 🥹❤️. I loved her lines when I played Fallout, since I found her, I never left her. I even told Piper once to go home briefly to do a quest personal for Nick Valentine, but never gave up on Heather ❤️❤️❤️. This is one of the best mods ever!
Best companion. No, I'm not talking about just mods. I mean even considering vanilla companions. If you unlock the terminal for DiMA's memories, she won't hack it and bypass the mini game. I highlighted the terminal in console and used lock. Then she was able to unlock it. I've done the quest 3 times and it was 2 times too many. Nice addition to her abilities.
Heather is fantastic, has been in my load order for years and this is the first time I have seen anything bug-like. Heather was following me to the institute when I returned there after Synth Retention. Reloaded, tried again still followed. So I dismiss her to a settlement instead, using this new feature. Once dismissed Heather can not be re-hired. There is no dialogue option to ask her to re-join you. Dismissing Heather to her bunker rather than a settlement results in the same outcome.
I'll mention that I am using What's Your Name by Pra, and in this dismissed mode Heather suddenly shows a P)What's Your Name activator like she is a vanilla settler, if this offers a clue as to what is going on.
My game is heavily modded so I am assuming a conflict is at work here. I do use AFT but I confirmed that it is not managing Heather and I have used Heather and AFT in the same load order for hundreds of hours without issue. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would be grateful for any light that can be shed.

You might try redownloading the mod and then replacing the version you have if this has been an issue since the beginning of the playthrough. Sometimes files can corrupt during download.
I was able to correct this problem with Extended Dialogue Interface - Wolfmark Fix Preconfigured. With this XDI patch mod in place the dialogue option for rehiring Heather following dismissal has reappeared and she can be dismissed and rehired without issue, whether dismissing her to a settlement or her bunker.
I know that v2 has XDI compatibility baked in, but for whatever reason (something else in my load order I presume) something between Heather and XDI appears to be borked, but this patch is doing the trick. Hope this helps someone else out there.
