Thank you for all the nice comments. Was away for a while (nice first reason: playing MEA. Not so nice second reason: was in hospital). I will read all of them (for all my mods) and try to answer as much as possible - at first the ones reagarding issius and bugs. Sorry for the delays and thanks for your understanding.
Update v2a: First and foremost: A big THANK YOU to Ethreon for all the help, knowledge and patience. One of the most nicest guys around here on Nexus. Without him this update wouldn't have been possible.
Ethreon - my god of the meshes - was so nice and reworked the curtain meshes, both the straight and the curved curtains. Now the curved curtains finally have a proper collision, no more invisible walls on the upper floor when you have placed them on the first floor. The rods snap closer to the ceiling and the curtains are almost userfriendly now (but that doesn't change the recommendation for Place Everywhere ). I also added new textures for the curtain rods, they come with a pattern on the front now. Reason for this, I was tiered to check if I had the right direction for the rods after placing and rotating them. Now it's clearly to see. Attention: Since the meshes and connect points are different now all your curtains that were placed before WILL need to get adjusted AGAIN. Not as bad to do as it was before but still necessary. Because of this I make the update a separate file. If you don't want to do all the work again you can update the mod when you start a new game. Or you could give it a try and test it. If you don't like it but want the new textures for the rods, just overwrite the meshes and the esp from v2a with the old v2 meshes and esp.
Hello Too lazy atm, to do the usual search thru several pages, looking for the answer, but can these curtains be walked thru ? As in , if placed in an open door way instead of a door, the opened ones, can you still walk thru them into the room ?
For Vortex users wanting to get this mod working, follow these steps.
1) Download V2 and V2a. When Vortex asks you which version to run, pick V2.
2) Right click V2 in vortex and click open in file manager. Now backtrack from: /Friffy_Fixed Curtains_v2-22485-v2 into: /mods and then go to: /Friffy_Fixed Curtains_v2-22485-v2a which should be just below V2 3) Go all the way into each of the 3 folders marked: materials, meshes, textures and copy & paste the files into their respective folders in V2 (note that meshes will ask you to overwrite the files here so it's best to make a copy of V2's on your desktop just incase this goes wrong).
4) Now go back into V2a, and open up a second folder at: This PC/Local Disc (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout4/Data 5) Find the folders marked as materials and textures, and there should be a Friffy folder in each, go all the way into those and paste the exact same files you did before from V2a, you don't have to paste the meshes.
6) Now close both folders & vortex and start up Fallout 4 with F4SE as you would do normally. Hey presto, the curtains and curtain rods should be there and working perfectly!
Un super mod, car il y en peu dans le genre, mais complètement gâché par le fait qu'il n'y a aucun point d'accrochage. Même avec place partout, on met un temps infini pour les accroché correctement. C'est une vraie galère.
First downloaded back in 2017 (because I started doing lots of building) and now I think this is going back in my brand new 'updated-everything' game for this summer - Thanks for all the years, friffster!
The drapes in my settlements/player homes would be pathetic RAGS without you!!!!
Hey there, I'd like to point out that Vortex thinks that v2a is an update to v2 & uninstalls v2 when installing v2a. A fix to this is to manually download v2a into your Vortex mod staging folder so that both files appear in Vortex separately, thus allowing you to overwrite only the specific files of v2 instead of totally replacing that version.
Just want to let you know of a couple of issues; "Curtain Rod 5" is an invisible object and missing meshes, can not be placed. I assume this one is the shortest one for single curtain, which really is a misfortune to be missing from the mod.
Also the curtains seem to snap to the walls from the house kit mod, which really makes it impossible to place. Again unfortunate because these houses go perfectly for these curtains.
I'm aware that this mod is last updated in 2017, but I just wanted to put these out here.
Interesting, that would also explain why the curtain rods don't have the "new" look featured in the author's screenshots (with a deco texture on the front and no texture on the back).

If anyone is interested - I've made a Settlement Menu Manager patch for this mod so that it has its own menu in the workshop.
