this is because it uses AWKCR, which in the modding community, is known widely as "old" it was made when people didnt understand fallout 4s scripting system the best as it was released very early on, AWKCR has a bunch of loose scripts constantly running which can easily tank performance, is considered heavily outdated for that reason and many others. It is also why so many people advise you to just stay away from using it when there are better options
The issues here are related to this mod, not AWKCR. I know many hate AWKCR but just because you aren't able to properly use it, that doesn't give you the rights to write nonsense b......t. " Better options " ... I wonder why you didn't wrote what those " better options " are. I actually know why as I know you aren't going to give the answer, since there's no such " better options " at all. Just " different options " and that's it.
For those of you wondering, the better option to AWKCR is ECO. And it is very clearly the better option. White knighting and a false sense of superiority are stupid and unhelpful. There is also someone making AWKCR patches for older mods to remove the dependencies, so if you have an older mod, you may still be in luck.
AWKCR, as was explained by a previous user, is a very script heavy mod that is often unnecessarily taxing on systems. It's idiotic and impractical to go in and fix it when someone has already made a much better upgrade. People are always improving on other's work. It's not AWKCR's author's fault, that's just a fact of life. Maybe grow up and keep your own nonsense bullshit to yourself.
No, ECO has different key words. How it works is imagine all mods are plugs and outlets, all of different shapes. Each mod can easily make a good shape for another mod, but if they don't know, they don't know. Also, AWKCR is bad because it causes crashes, lag, and the mod author never responds. It could be fixed, but the mod author doesn't do mods anymore, probably doesn't even play Fallout anymore either.
Please be advised this mod is literally a game breaking mod if not uninstalled properly.
Literally if you did not uninstall this mod correctly your save file will be 100% corrupted especially if you already dismantled the legendary effects.
Awesome mod! Having to craft legendary effects on to weapons saves a lot of time farming. It feels balanced but it will definetely cut playtime. Some legendary effects are cool and not overpowered but it really makes you stronger. Even one piece of the Powered effect on an armor makes for insane AP regen. Some effects are meh like the shatterproof. I often find meh effects on armors, I'm not sure if it's intended or I'm just unlucky. Effects also have nice notifications so you know if its working or not. The Violent effect, for example, has a notification on how much percent damage increase you get while the Gamblers will have a bullet sound when it procs as well as notification saying "feeling lucky?". It' be nice if there was a detailed description of the effects so we can plan our builds accordingly. Although with the crafting aspect, testing out the effects is much easier.
I'm not sure if it's a bug but procing the Gambler's effect makes reload time really fast. It takes maybe a sec to reload 5 bullets in a Lever rifle. It's good since I can shoot sooner however it's hard to get my real intent which is to reload just one bullet at a time so I always get the x3 bonus damage. And the reload speed boost persists for a few seconds meaning you can switch to another weapon and reload quicker still.
Incredible mod, makes the farming a lot better and the passives are very good, using the mod in a playthrough with mor than 400 mods and zero problems after 130+ hours. Endorsed !
is there a way to remove the muzzleflash of the galvanizing effect tho, when shoot a weapon with Galvanizing effect, the muzzle flash cover half of the crosshair, making the player unable to see the target
I found a small problem with Shatterproof items - They add 35 HP, but I think they add it incorrectly. They boost my HP, but no matter what items I use, I cannot heal past my normal health anyway. For example, I had 200 HP, upon wearing one shatterproof item, it boosted it to 235, but after I got damaged, no matter what, I could not heal past 200. Not with stimpaks, not with doctors.
One annoying thing is that "Welcome to legendary overhaul" notification, appearing on EVERY load. And the worst part it's that it is not a message property on a script, it is actually hardcoded into a script. UGH. (BTW, since I'm in complaint mode, always add sources of your scripts, so people can quickly see how they work, or to debug them. Spoiler: you can decompile pex files with Champollion)
Abosolutely top tier, this mod make legendary hunt sooooooo much fun despite some technical issues, most of which are fixable if you are familiar with xedit. Highly recommanded.

I'd recommend against using it, despite the good parts of the mod being very cool.
