MAN, I really wish this gave the magic effect to neutral targets, too. It would really help with finding "sleeping / pretending to be dead" feral ghouls.
I use another mod, Detector, that gives neutrals a yellow targeting-HUD like glow. Buuuut... I can't see them through walls. And seeing them through walls would be a HUGE help.

I actually got it working for what ever reason vortex was not enabling it and I had to manually enable from the in game menu. Now I'm wondering if all the other mods I tried that didn't work had the same problem

would this work with, or conflict with "Less Annoying Berry Mentats"?

I've never used that mod, but it should be fine having both. This mod (B&H Mentats) has standalone effects not dependant from the vanilla game (includes and uses its own effects) while and I think that mod (L.A.B. Mentats) uses the effect from the vanilla game and modifies it directly to work on the Berry Mentats. The holster effect is actually a condition that I didn't set on purpose (to keep the realism).

Worst case scenario using both mods at the same time: both effects will be visible while active, but the Berry Mentats mist will fade if weapons are holstered while B&H Mentats mists will not. That's my assumption, because at some point when I was developing this mod I tested these mentats in combination with unmodded/vanilla Berry Mentats and all the effects were active at the same time but with no issues at all. There were two different mists of different colors for alive targets. That was all.

By the way, mine also won't make certain NPCs hostile and works fine with all Legendary enemies too (correctly detects the changing state when they "die & mutate" ).

Yes I can, although that would be a different modification, because this mod doesn't touch any of the PA assets.

Do you want to modify the original color effect found in the game (vanilla), or from a mod that does the same? I can tell you how to do that...

I've been wanting something like this! I always seem to lose those dead bodies potentially missing out on some good loots
Plus, I like it because it gives me something to do with all those plants we don't normally have any use for. Just good on you and thank you so much! Endorsed and Kudos my friend!

I like it. (Endorsed.) I tried a mod that always highlighted corpses, but always was too much. This is much better for me.

A little bit brighter / bigger / more noticeable might be nice. Even with this mod, I was unable to find a corpse in some weeds.

"A little bit brighter / bigger / more noticeable might be nice. Even with this mod, I was unable to find a corpse in some weeds."

That happens when the surrounding light is too much, especially during daylight. In this game, the light overrides any type of visual effect, so when that happens, those effects look more weak than it should, and that's why explosions look bigger in the night than during the day. It happens with all types of effects, so changing the bright/color of the mist doesn't do much. But reducing the quantity of light in the area helps, for example, turning off the light of the pipboy, changing your position to a place with less light and looking through and very close to that (tree, car, house...), or just waiting for a late hour with less sunlight.

I've used it several more times now and it's been bright enough. "Just right," even. It probably was just the lighting that fist time.

I want to make a suggestion: when you name a mod put what it does in the name. I was searching Nexus for anything that would help in finding dead bodies. Your mod NEVER came up in any search. I found it only because I had watched a YouTube video for ANOTHER mod and when I searched for that one is when I also found yours.
You actually have what I was ideally looking for. Love the ideal and the craftable aspect. Thank you

Really cool base idea. Excellent execution (providing both chem and drink forms).
Early on I started using a highlight dead bodies mod, because they can be infernally hard to find (used to have the same issue in FO3 & FNV).
I'm heavily considering trying this mod out (and may replace the highlight dead bodies mod with this).

Great for survival looting: quench your thirst while looking for the bodies. Brilliant!

Si alguien quiere, puedo hacer una versión en Español de este mod. Aunque tiene poco texto para traducir...
