anyone know the best way to edit this mod to make it not as dark as this mod for me makes the game too dark for my monitor i assume fo4edit to change it but what setting would be the best to change as i messed around with it before and it just made it worse than better any help would be great as the mod author would not reply to my question.
I went into it with FOEdit. Offhand can't remember the name of the value, but it was set to .2500, which I also found too dark. I changed it to .5000 and it was perfect. This is an awesome mod, but would be even, um, awesomer if it could be accessed through the MCM, and adjusted that way too.
ok, so i didn't play fo4 for a long time, everything i'm saying is from the memory, so it can fail. you can use "scp" command in the dev console to adjust brightness in a real time. it has three parameters: contrast, brightness, and saturation, if i remember the order correctly. type "help scp 1" to be sure. i remember that "scp 1.03 0.33 1.1" worked best for my system, and v2 had these values (1 .25 1 was in v1), but now i wonder why is that version is not on the download page, i didn't remove it..
This works well for a simple brightness increase. Bethesdas gigantic brainfart to not include any sort of gamma or brightness slider is still a mystery to the gaming community, but this mod can show you how to adjust your brightness level. It was made to fix yet another major Bethesda brainfart back in a 2017 update, but can still be used to adjust brightness levels up or down if you can make a simple change in xedit I use Vivid weathers and it introduces a browninsh/dark tint that I think makes shadows to dark at night. So I opened the .esp in xedit, there is only one record so scroll down to the 'Cinematic' section(at the very bottom) look for the 'Brightness Mult' which is set to .25 by the mod. 1.0 is default vanilla brightness so since I wanted to increase the brightness, I set it to 1.1 and I can see at night! Still have to manually activate it the first time per the description, but it will persist.
Can confirm this is still working, with all DLC. The brightness bug was driving me nuts and all the other fixes I had come across were just temporary and not quite *right*. This one works like a charm so far. Make sure you read the instructions on how to actually use it in the game once it's installed. Thank you!!
edit: I DO still have the problem of my pip-boy being way too bright in power armor, but it is definitely improved. I can at least read it when the pulse effect sort of dims, whereas before I couldn't. There's a mod called Power Armor Map Fix I'm going to try...
Also, I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960, not sure if this is an issue between patch 1.8 and Nvidia stuff or what.

SlAD- Brightness Mult.
Mod sets it to 0.250000, but its too dark for me .
If you set it to 1.000000 , then it will vanilla brightness.
I set to 0.700000 and its fine, just what II wanted, try what you like
You need to lower or increase each of those value to adjut the gamma/brightness saturation and dark as well correctly.
Thanks.
Now i know that my modpack whas not the problem. bugthesda..........
