    New Version 1.1 Changes

    - Costs were increased to reflect inflation prices of pre-war America before the bombs fell.
    - The machine now needs a fusion core to build, rather than needing power from the settlement.
    - Prices are displayed on the menu.
    - Now it emits a slight buzzing sound to indicate it's "on". It's not loud so won't, or shouldn't get annoying.
    - A new item on the menu (Only if you have enough )

I'll likely do the Vim machine as well at some point. Here it is. Needs Far Harbor to run I probably don't need to say.

BTW, if anyone wants to upload this and/or the other one to Bethesdas site, lemme know. I just can't be ar$ed with Beths site, and not only that, I'm lazy af...mainly lazy. PM me if interested.

Gracias. Building up Gun for Hire and I was inordinately pissed that my vending machine was empty. Why would I want to decorate my cool poolhall with a nonfunctioning vending machine? So kudos!

    Hi,
    Just having an issue.
When I activate the nuka cola machine it comes up with the menu,
but only the part that says Choose your preferred flavor and enjoy,
but it has no cola's listed.
Any help on the problem would be appreciated, I really like this mod and wanted to use it.

You have to have some pre-war money in your inventory. Otherwise you can't pay and nothing comes up.

love it so far. only complaint is i cant seem to get the machine to get to sit flush against a wall ( always stays in the red till about 2 feet away from the wall. placing at Red Rocket outside Sanctuary) I will play with ti more and update accordingly, going to download place anywhere soon as well and see if that helps out

Happens with the other one too. The Jukebox is the worst offender in that for me though.

I recommend Place Anywhere however, it requires F4SE but is so worth it if you're a builder. The things you can do with it are amazing.

      Edit: Place Everywhere even.

Or you can place a rug on the floor near the wall, then place the Vending machine on the rug, then move the rug through the wall.

Very nice, weird they didn't include this with Nuka World.
Though lore-wise, inflation was insane in 2077's pre-war America. A comic cost $23, a meal of coffee and donuts cost $32 and gasoline costing a mere $8500 per gallon.

You'd probably not get away with paying less than $10 for a regular Nuka Cola.

Aye, I wasn't expecting the costs to be accurate. I was just using the in-game values at the time as a guide. $10 you say, what about cherry and quantum at 40 and 50?

I'd say $10 for a regular nuka, $15 for a cherry and maybe $30 for a quantum (a single soda shouldn't cost more than a diner meal, after all).
Of course, in Nuka World, John Caleb Braderton's messages on his terminal indicate that the prices were increased dramatically before the bombs fell, as a last-ditch effort to fund his inclusion in the LEAP-X program.

It's perfectly possible that Nuka Quantum and Nuka Dark cost as much as $40 at the time, but it just seems a bit unlikely that the everyday consumer would shell out for one if that was the case.

Would be be silly to suggest the machine giving a bit of food for the settlement in addition to happiness?

Thanks, that seems fair I guess. Pre-war money is so abundant so I don't have a problem with that.

Not sure about food though, might not work though I'll certainly try it out. One of the machines from the vault DLC did the same so I'll use that and try to replicate it. Hopefully you won't have to assign a settler to it, but we'll see.

Well, there's good news and bad on my first attempt on the food idea.

      Good - It works.

Bad - Character says "Seems to be growing well..." like it's a carrot. At least they're both red lol

urgh Bloody voiced protagonist mumble grumble.

Can't leave it with that though. I'll look into it some more but if I can't figure it out I'll have to leave it sorry.

EDIT: Nope, don't think it'll work. Looking at the Soda Fountain from the DLC the reason it doesn't do the same is because you can't interact with it yourself, so your character won't be able to say that line. So yeah, I'll have to leave it. Sorry about that, if only it didn't do that I would've gone with it.

More like he's charging too much Pre-War money
According to the game, each stack of Pre-War Money was worth $100 before the Great War. I'd say 2 Nuka or Cherry for 1 Pre-War stack or 1 Quantum for 1 stack since it was a new release. $50 bucks for a bottle of soda sounds about right due to inflation at the time.

Gasoline didn't cost that much, but coolant did. If you notice in the workshop at red rocket, it says "Coolant pump" when you hover the courser over the pumps. Not trying to be an asshole, just correcting a mistake you made

Any chance of adding the new commercial flavors from Nuka World DLC? Like Orange, Grape, Wild, not sure on Quartz or Victory due to it was only sold in the Southwest US via game lore, and not Dark since it's alcohol.

There are stocked versions of the machine actually, (and a few other versions, stocked, unstocked, wrecked) and I would have preferred to use the stocked one believe me but the mesh didn't rest on the ground like the others do, even when you give it the proper keyword it only rests when half of it is through the ground.

Unfortunate but this was the best way to do it. Although I was able to place the stocked one on the ground with the mod Place Anywhere, but without it it wouldn't let you place it like that.

Now that is kind of neat.

Though of course it does beggar the logical question... how on Bethesda's Nuked Earth does it get restocked? <grin>

*shrug* Maybe Phil, the Nuka-Cola dude. Though I read he hates his job.

Although how can you construct a bus in 1 second. Oh and lift it about if you need to move it.
