im running this using MO2. I used this mod together with "diamond city expansion mod" they worked fine for me.. I noticed that this mod distorts the market in diamond city so I loaded it before diamond city expansion and it worked. if you see flickering textures just go to console and type TPC to disable pre-culling. and there's a bug that spawns ghouls at the market area. so i downloaded another mod called " settlement no random attacks" it prevents random attacks to a settlement that it's built on. its a box found in the defense>outpost tab just build it and place it somewhere then activate it and choose no random attacks. and that's it no more ghouls. hope it helps people with this kind of problem. there's no patch or update on this so I just worked around it. I used this as a barracks for my companions all 18 of them(custom companions).. hehehe no settlers just my companions. because im running solo right now with dogmeat "lone wanderer". I need to get rid of them so i decided to put them all at home plate inside diamond city. the safest area for them and they won't be bored. honestly I had doubts that it will work but it did. i already have 520 active mods..yeah that's right far beyond the 250 limit. i used the mod "R88_eslify" to convert esp's to esl. and some optimizer mods like boston prp fix, baka scrapheap, buffout, etc. too many to mention and some setting tweaks for further optimization. and for godsakes turnoff that damn godrays its a fps grabber. because of this tweaks and optimization my pc can handle the 520 plus mods. I enjoy building so most of it are clutter mods for my custom builds. I even installed a teleport pod inside home plate. its also a mod that let you teleport anywhere as long as there's a teleport pod in that area just like the institute. I even have an institute inspired white concrete fortress at spectacle island guarded by Knight T-60 brotherhoods. yup its also a mod "buildable faction guards" you must be allied to a faction to use this. I also have several fast travel vehicles suitable for survival mod. "redwave v2" its a boat I moored it at spectacle island" "vto redux" its a big a$$ buildable fast travel vertibird. and apc transport a mobile player home tank. you can shoot projectiles with it just like minutemen artillery. it took me 6 months to get the load order right. hehehehe its a pain in the a$$. don't use scrapping mods they destroy previs and precombines which contibutes to the render load of your pc contributing to crashes the more precombines you destroy the worst it gets so i dont recommend especially if your pc is like mine I'm at the minimum requirement for fallout 4. i get average 44 fps during gunfights and 60fps when wandering alone. 50fps with boston area with minor stutters (its a vanilla issue). but its all good I'm not planning to add more mods...well sort of..hehehehe
I tried sending some settlers to home plate, but after waiting hours of real time with the game active and multiple in game days they never showed up. Does this mod only allow companions to be sent to home plate or can settlers be moved there too?
A few showed up, but it took hours and hours or real life time leaving the game running. I know that isn't an issue with this mod, just slow movement of settlers, maybe there is a fast travel mod for settlers out there.
Hi, really nice mod. Everything works fine but attacks can still happen. I got the notification that it was being attacked and when I got there there were 3 feral ghouls in the market. Killing them completed the quest, and I just resurrected the guards that died, so it's like it never happened. I do have a lot of mods, not sure if any would affect this. The only one that could be related in some way is Sim Settlements 2. Also, the location where the caravan trader stops is a bit annoying as the brahmin is on the way most of the times.
Sorry this is such a late response, but yes, it is SS2. If you started the quest with the ghoul in the glowing sea, but never finished it, they will continue to attack any location you are at until you complete it. I had this exact problem first time I used SS2
For anyone wondering, I strongly recommend mixing this with NSA No Settlement Attacks. I haven't tested without it, but going by others' posts, things get a little weird given Homeplate can get attacked.
It can't get attacked at all. In a new version the property "Can Be Attacked" was given a "False" variable. If you look at in xEdit yourself you can see this. If you make a quick esp with xEdit you can do this to any settlement yourself in 2 minutes as well.
Idk why Diamond City Expansion conflicts with this mod on so many levels in Worldspace, but I made it a master for this mod and merged the changes. Thanks a million tho. Never a single dam issue with this mod since 2017 and I suspect any possible conceivable issue I would have would be from a conflict, but I'd fix that immediately, cuz xEdit exists. I appreciate you, David!
I'm not sure if it is just happening to me or not but does anyone else have an issue where some of the shelves in DC's market don't render with this mod. They were working fine until I installed this mod and it only looks to be here.
probably broken meshes because the author touched the position of some objects when linking the workbenches. Delete the records and all should be back to normal (using FO4Edit or some other tool)
s#*! doesnt work but dont feel bad, neither does anything else on this half of a game that bethesda rushed to throw up before it was finished so they could steal our money
Yeah, that's on your end, settlement mods are very difficult to get to work properly (I've made one) and if there's just ONE conflict, it'll break. you may have another mod that messes with settlements, supply lines, or even the way doors work. another conflict could be a mod that messes with the mechanist's lair or vault 88.
Really wish I'd read the comments warning about the random enemy attacks before I installed this mod. I was loving it until it happened to me. Hopefully the console commands provided will prevent it, but I have to say it's rather negligent for this mod to be left up when it has such a large, potentially game-breaking issue.
Edit - well, s***. The console commands didn't work for me. Guess that's this playthrough screwed.
Edit 2 - this time I ignored the attack, I got the "Home Plate suffered damage" message but from what I can see, nothing's changed and there aren't bodies piled up in Diamond City. Keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't happen again. Seriously, why is this mod still up?!
That's a bit of a shame if correct. Thanks for the heads up. Hope it'll be fixed one day but seeing as the mod is 4 years old I doubt it. And it may not be easily fixable - the very reason why Homeplate is different is because its primary function in vanilla FO4 is to provide a simple configurable home (and safe storage) for those who play alone (or stick with one companion) and who don't want to get into any of the settlement building/linking/resources stuff, nor have to worry about attacks thereof etc. And from what I've read of similar Homeplate mods you will (perhaps inevitably) introduce these sorts of issues because you're changing it to a settlement.
Maaan this sucks. This is the only mod I could find that actually lets you send followers to HP. Can't believe more people haven't tried making this work. :(
