It's too much. Access to rich vendors, plethora of items, and travel, settlers, etc, all after you leave sanctuary. Not for me..and the chime and announcer...why encode that at volume 10. It's murder on headphones
Just want to let you know that the door to Malden Center Subway Station is in the exact same spot as a door from this mod LIMA Detachment. I Managed to move the door from that mod with Consol Command to an empty door spot, on the same building, a bit to the left, around the corner. Just wanted to let you know if anyone wants to make a patch.
Same, Sadly is a conflict with PRP Apparently, and the patch's for PRP Are very very slowly getting updated for the NextGen update versions (over 100 patches have to be updated on that page of patches) So sadly cant use the now not UpToDate patch w/o breaking other precombines in really strange ways that kinda do but dont break precombines. the cannibal toast* one is the one was talking about. just noticed some others exist. will try and check them when i wake up tomorrow after work and see if any of the others still safely function with current NG Versions of game/PRP
Misc performance optimizations looks to have a functioning fix for current (74) PRP Version. texture glitchs i was noticing with others are no happening with that mod sets Subways patch.
Quick question though, is there a workaround for having to pay for each train when you haven't left the train station, i.e transferring trains. Maybe have a pay gate before you can fully enter the station (maybe by that first big guard dude)? Or is it something I'm overlooking where there is ways to just pay once and take the trains as many times as you want?
Also, is there a in-game train map? Sometimes I'm just spamming taking the train until I get to my destination. If there was a map inside the train station that clearly show which train leads to which station, that'd also help with immersion and just saving some caps in the long run. Just a suggestion, otherwise this mod rocks.
A note about performance as I don't see this mentioned anywhere and it took me some time to hunt this down: This mod breaks previs system in places like Goodneighbor exterior and will therefore likely have greatly adverse effects on your performance. This is less of an issue in places like Concord etc., but I went from stable ~59 fps in Goodneighbor exterior cell to around 30 fps. To me it's not an acceptable trade-off to having a subway entry there.
Would be great if there was a version of this mod that leaves previs objects untouched and only add stuff where the subways entrances are. This would make a subway entrance at Goodneighbor exterior a viable thing.
I suffered massive frame drops in South Boston and the closer I got to the station the worse it got until about a block from the entrance it would simply freeze. I liked the mod, but I simply can't use it.
The answer to editing the world is Layers. If you want to add something put it on it's own layer and don't even touch the vanilla items around it. Don't move that can or delete that shrub. Add a layer, lock all other layers, put your item on your layer and leave the rest alone. Otherwise you will break previs and kill performance. There are videos on YT covering this method.
Wry Bash Plugin Report says this mod has 7 Deleted References, suggests cleaning, FO4EditQuickAutoClean can do it quick & easy. I've not had any troubles with this mod breaking things or notice any performance issues myself, but ive not gone a full playthru with it in yet.

Does anybody know which program would be appropriate for raising the cap cost on subway travels? i'm shooting for 150 per ride, not sure where to start.
I used to be able to use the subway without any problems in the previous gameplay, but recently it started to freeze in the station premises. (The game freezes instead of crashing.)
As one of the phenomena, it freezes when talking to NPC. After entering the subway for a while, the voice and noise will not come out, and if you press any button in that state, it will freeze.
I'm almost certain it's my fault, but it's only happening on the subway so far, so I'll leave it on this page.
EDIT: Problem solved. It seems that it was a known bug caused by Buffout4's archive limit removal. Freezing no longer occurs after updating Buffout 4 to the latest version.

Think it's because the author has used an edit or delete on the worldspace - which disables precombined meshes in that area (killing performance)
If just an "add" was used, then the precomb meshes would stick and no performance hit would be exhibited.
