yeah the damage in these things can do like 3000 damage in 2 seconds with some mods. When the player has 200 HP. Even with the best armor you die in half a second.
I love challenging gameplay, that's why I play Fallout 4 exclusively on Survival mode. What I don't love is cheap deaths. Being killed by a laser turret in 0.3 seconds after rounding a corner when you're level 63 is a cheap death. Quit being out of pocket you little hsit.
What about ballistic turrets? I use SCOURGE and my hp doesn't increase but turrets are designed with vanilla health in mind so I get oneshot quite often. And Direct Impact is not helping either. I know it's mostly a me problem but this mod wouldn't exist if I were the only one dealing with this.
Thank jesus, I'm not the only one whos pissed about getting set back 4 days by these assholes. makes no sense why the laser turrets suddenly vaporize you, your companion, a brick wall, and a Skyscraper 20 miles away. Also for a lore reason you could explain that their power sources have degraded over time to justify nerfing them.
I cant realy calculate the damage per second before since the number wasnt statick and changed based on the perk. But i can say the damage per shot was around 80-90 dmg on level 45 with quite a bit of resistance (Using the heavy operator armor) for regular turrets because it was scailing with the perk, now it has an unmodified dmg that is based on the turret gun itself. 10 dmg for the first one, 18 for the second one and 25 for the third one. While they dont hurt as much they are still deadly if you are at low level or just unawere of them while on low health. So you should no longer be melted by those things in power armor.
doesn't help that Bethesda's not too good at making descriptions for stuff...CK says "Adds the crAttackDamage actor value to the melee damage done by creatures."...but the use tokens says it only applies to projectile attacks...which is good as If I'm reading it right, it says "Value = Value + crRangedDmg * 1" is applied to the damage dealt...no idea what "Value"'s initial value is though...but a lvl 40 laser bubble turret does 141 damage per hit in a 3-second, 72-round burst (I counted in VATS) against 1302 energy resistance... ... ...which explains why they are insta-death. (by the way...with the perk removed from them...the same lvl 40 turret against the same armor does 20 damage per hit...still strong but survivable)
I also noticed that the Mirelurk Hunters also have the perk...but their ranged attack has a 5 second delay as well as being a fairly slow projectile, but it explains why it hits harder than a nuke.
So really...Something in turrets is completely broken...either this perk should have been cut out or the firing speed for turrets should have been VASTLY reduced because otherwise they outdamage legendary enemies.
