soo about half of my junk items are missing icons is it because vis updated or another mod is breaking the icons maybe i have no idea any help would be appreciated
I'd love to see a version of this for the vanilla junk items, I've tried reinstalling DEF_UI and VIS so many times, in different orders, using different options, checking FO4Edit for conflicts, overwriting and not overwriting different files, following Gopher's Video, following advice on various forums and Reddit, using fresh Fallout 4 installs etc etc etc. I can NEVER get both the Icons in the inventory AND the Component Tags in the HUD to show up for the same junk item. It's either one, the other, or neither.
Only this mod and the Beantown Interiors compatibility patch for DEF_UI and VIS actually have both show up. none of the Vanilla items work that way and I've been trying off and on for a year now to get this to work (periodically giving up and settling for the one or the other thing).
Similar problem here. No icons for Junk or Components. I manually moved def_inv_scrap_en.esp above ValdacilsItemSorting-JunkBetter+DEF_INV.esp and it seems to have fixed it. At least I get the icons now and can see the components when I look at an item on the ground (except for Makeshift Battery and Ball-Peen Hammer for some reason).
I figured out why the battery and the hammer weren't showing icons. I'm using the Craft Your Ammo mod and it breaks the icons for some items that it uses to make ammo.
Of course moving the def_inv_scrap_en.esp above would work. Hud mods should be loaded near the top of your load order with any patches below the last mod they are patching.
I was having the problem with not all items showing components during looting, and after reading what was said about Craft Your Ammo, I decided to try loading my "ValdacilsItemSorting-JunkBetter+DEF_INV.esp" and "ValdacilsItemSorting-JunkBetterDLC+DEF_INV.esp" files after my "Crafting Mastery.esp" file, and now everything works as intended. Thanks for sharing that info.
thanks a lot, i was a little confuse with this mod, not really sure if i need it, but taking a look with FO4edit now i can see i need it xD surry cause english its not my native language. Endorse ^^
