The unofficial patch already has it fixed for anyone wondering in 2023.

Did you know? Just as a Stimpak can be used to revive a fallen human or canine companion during combat, the Repair Kit can be used to repair a damaged robot.

Because I know. In fact I doubt I'll ever fucking forget it having read it about 1000 times.

Geez, I didn't even really consciously process it until I saw this mod, and then I realized what a difference it makes. Thanks for this!

I'm surprised it took someone this long to fix this. I manually did it in my personals tweaks mod (a mod where I put all the little tweaks that I need to make FO4 playable that are way too small for indivdual mods) ages ago.

I just find it odd Bethesda set them to 20%, which means they always appear.

Yeah 20% was pretty overkill, but I think they only meant for it to be 20% while you were doing the Automatron quests, ie. the conditions on each of the loading screens are
      - 20% chance AND
      - you must be passed a certain point in the Automatron quests

which kinda makes sense if they wanted a good chance for people to see them while in the middle of Automatron... but then they forgot to check if you've completed it or not, classic Bethesda I suppose

I'm surprised none of the big bug-fix mods didn't fix it yet, hopefully one of the authors might see this mod and decide to add it, IMO they should probably add that completed quest check to each of the screens instead of editing the global though.

      This is truly the case.

The most unsung mod ever. Really it is the mod we need, but not the one we deserve!

      We are unworthy.

      (But I'll take it.)
