This Mod has been updated and now looks completely different, Enhanced Gun Smoke is now compatible with any mod that edits projectile data like weapons of fate, this version of gun smoke uses a similar particle system to my other mod: Spitfire, but has more emphasis on smoke effects that linger and create a classic gun fight atmosphere.
if you previously installed white muzzle smoke, uninstall and install enhanced gun smoke
if you want a full muzzle flash overhaul see here - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25114/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D25114%26preview%3D&pUp=1
Hey man awesome mod great looking but I have a slightly slight problem with it and I thought you should know but the mod have a issue with the armament mod which if you use them together the bullet trace which it makes the mod even more immersive and sexy is not showing while you have armament installed , I'm not quite sure if it's because I'm using the fallout London instead of vanilla fo4, but that is something you probably like to know about.
Very realistic mod. Sadly the gun smoke it adds is so much that from shooting with something as small as a pistol you're left with what I can only assume musket users saw back in the 1800s, smoke so opaque you can't see anything behind it, all the while the enemy AI shoots at you incessantly.
Able to release a version with less smoke? There are guns that do produce this much smoke, but feels like way to much for many guns. Rooms can also easily fill up with smoke like crazy. Other than that, love it!
data/textures/effects/gradient/white gun smoke, open in paint.net and lower secondary opacity down to 50-100 depending on how much you want. save file profit. DON"T FORGET TO BACK UP FIRST.
Hey, could you please update the pictures of the mod on xbox? Trying to install the mod always gives me the "operation could not have been completed " error
I'd like to give you a heads up about your mod causing an issue on xbox where browsing it in the mods menu kicks the user back to the start screen. This issue was introduced by the next gen patch and is caused by "broken" image files in the mod page. You'd have to update the pictures or simply remove them for the time being, until bethesda patches this issue.
If you want I can upload the mod back as a porter, with full credits to you and a link to the nexus page. Or you can do it yourself in the main mod. If you allow me to look into it, I'd need you to update the mod's permission tab on nexus to allow for console porting.
I think this the BEST fallout 4 mod I have ever tried. I have played with this mod installed for two weeks now, and loving it! I find the smoke very realistic, and immersive. No performance loss or crashes(with 11700KF&RTX 3080).
This causes me no problems at all, but I did use the light performance version that won't fill everywhere with smoke, just a few puffs which I can see thru fine. The most realistic one for me... Although thinking about it, most these guns are made unprofessionally in the field of a post apocalyptic world where pre-war ammo would be hard to get, so using and making whatever's at hand. So it's probably realistic too that some of the rounds would use inefficient gun powder and therefore give off a lot of smoke in a fight sometimes... hmmm. Maybe I will give the heavier smoke ones a run just for the immersion.
OP has to be the most hilarious comment I've read in a while. "far away and I had an automatic weapon".....
Only full auto weapon I'd even consider firing at a target more than 15-20 feet away might be a Grease Gun. Jerry Miculek - Grease Gun ?Go to 1:22 seconds.
