General - During installation always select NO when/if asked to update and select YES when asked to overwrite. Craft the jetpack's at the chemistry (or Armorsmith Extended) workbench then take them to the armor workbench to add flight capability, change flame color, paint, upgrades, etc.
Patches - Upon installing ANY of these patches, if you find the jetpack doesn't seem to work, un-equip and re-equip your jetpack. The patch changes the enchantment on your jetpack so you have to cycle it out in order to gain the new enchantment.
Power Armor Animated Jetpacks - If it doesn't seem to work immediately after installing the patch then exit your power armor and un-equip your jetpack torso from the PA suit then re-equip it. If you experience any strangeness then remove your jetpack mod from your torso and throw it away or sell it, then make a new jetpack mod and install it on your PA. Shazam. The patch for Jetpacks Unlimited is now standalone and separate from this file. Version 1.3 adds options for upper flames and V-Wing compatibility.
Worsin's Immersive Power Armor Garage (WIPAG) - It seems WIPAG is automatically compatible (I haven't done extensive testing, however). Just download the optional Power Armor Animated Jetpacks file and your all set. If you use Jetpacks Unlimited then be sure to use the "Jetpacks Unlimited Animated" patch found on the downloads page.
FO4 War Tags - For those of you requesting a patch for FO4 War Tags, like Worsin's Immersive Power Armor Garage, it is automatically compatible. Just download the optional Power Armor Animated Jetpacks file.
C.U.T.E - A patch for C.U.T.E. is now available on the downloads page, it is for version 1.11 of the mod which can be found here. Please let me know if I missed anything, at first glance there seemed to be only one jetpack and no Armorsmith Extended version.
Jetpacks Unlimited - Now has its own standalone installer and is separate from the "Power Armor Animated Jetpacks" file. The installer will place all six patches in your data directory, choose the ones you want and delete or disable the rest.
NAVI - Brand New Power Armor - The pilot suit from NAVI is not fully compatible with Jetpacks FAO because (in short) both mods use a similar keyword to summon different PA frames. I made a patch that adds NAVI versions of the Jetpacks from my mod that will summon the NAVI frame the same way the pilot suit does.
B-90 Armor - This patch comes "as is" since the mod author took the original mod off from Nexus. There are several versions of B-90 Armor floating around out there so I cannot guarantee this patch will work with them all. It should be compatible with most of them, however, since the only form changed is the "B-90Jetpacks" enchantment which affects all B-90 jetpacks.
JFAO and SF Placed Legendaries - This adds two unique/legendary jetpacks from Jetpacks FAO and one unique/legendary (stealth) bodysuit from SF Combat Armor to the game. I made this for myself to play on survival mode to give myself a challenge but it's also great for people who might not want to spend their perks on crafting skills right away. The items have some unique bonuses other than the mod upgrades so even people with the proper crafting perks may want to obtain them eventually. Of course, to offset not requiring crafting perks I placed them in out of the way and hard to reach locations. See the included readme for spoilers.
When you exit power armor you may find your jetpack flames stop working, this is a known issue and isn't a bug at all but has other, more esoteric, reasons for happening. In short, the CROSS Jetpack script stops working because of scripts that run when using PA. I personally do not have the knowledge to investigate this any further. If anyone has any insight into this it would be greatly appreciated. For now, upon exiting power armor just re-equip your jetpack to fix the issue.
Please report any bugs or concerns you have so I can correct them as soon as possible and feel free to make requests for jetpack mods you would like to have a patch for, thank you.
As of version 5.0 the alternate mount can be adjusted in game at the armor bench. It changes the mount location of the "light" RobCo jetpack to one similar to the jetpacks from Armorsmith Extended. Recommended for female players who prefer tight fitting armor such as the Courser X-92 Power Suit, Kerrigan Bodysuit, Precursor Suit, NanoSuit 6.2, etc.
Thanks for this mod. It was easy to install and create a jetpack I could customize with lots of easy-to-understand options.
I couldn't get the jetpack to have a lower AP Drain - even after spending hours installing various mods whose sole purpose was to do just that. Then I realized that another mod I installed long ago, Game Configuration Menu (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33759), handles AP Drain - and it wasn't sharing. I configured the AP Drain from within the GCM mod and now I'm a really happy (if embarrassed) camper.
I had no issue to craft the personnal jetpack but how do i make a power armor jetpack ? When I craft one on my power armor it's just the vanilla one, I have no idea how to get one from the mod and it's not explained anywhere
This mod is dead. The jetpack stay on my back whatever I do or I remove, even if I load a old save. Its still here. I have to reinstall the mod each time wtf
is there console command so i can spawn working jetpack in my inventory? i don't have science perk so i cant craft a working jetpack, im playing a low int build.
It's been so long I have forgotten if there is or not. You could give yourself the science perk temporarily then remove it, or alternatively there is an option on the download page for two legendary jetpacks to be placed in the world. I think one is on the tower building where you find the super mutant follower... and the other is... somewhere. There should be a spoiler readme in the files, I think. @_@
Hi there! I am working on The Mercenary Pack - Reinvention and I have been using your mod as a requirement for the assets. Thanks a lot for this work, it gives more options and variety to the great Mercenary Pack. I was wondering if I can have permission to use your assets as I want to tweak a few more stuff in the future and it would be great to simplify the download of my mod.
I would only need the Miscellaneous file The Mercenary Pack - B90 Animated Jetpack. Only the Meshes and Textures folder actually.
Of course credits to you and all involved. Thanks again and hope to have reply soon!
Wait , what ?? !! >_< You equip it on your back, if you watched the videos and read the descriptions all you need to know is there , ( i refuse to tell you what else you need ,. because info is all on description and video)...
The instructions are HORRIBLE. Why are there NO instructions at all on how to use this mod under the description... if it requires another mod to use then include that mod under requirements. SO frustrating... I've read about 30 similar comments, many people have trouble figuring this out...
Is this supposed to work out of the box? I have a MO2 mod order with basically just this mod and very little else (not CHW), and when I equip the jetpack and jump, nothing happens. I can build it, modify it and admire it, but it doesn't fly. Any ideas?

AP drain is too fast - Try this mod: Customizable Power Armour and Jetpack Drain
