    Thanks for making this mod.

If anyone is interested - I've made a Settlement Menu Manager patch for this mod so that it has its own menu in the workshop.

      Why would they get that?
Only "rested bonus" in the game, is the exp buff players get, that let them earn extra exp for 8 hours..
What the guards are doing, is actually just guarding, only with a sleeping animation instead of playing "finger gun."

Is there a way to assign or make a settler as a barber and be able to play haircutting animation when a haircut is happening like the one in diamond city with john cutting the hair of ann codman when you first arrive in diamond city??

I think Better Stores has that, I haven't set one up in my game so I don't know about the animations but I know you can make a barber and a surgeon with it.

Had an odd thing relating to vendors using the stands but never having the barter menu. Seems like it's a bug from vanilla, and some people can replicate the issue if they have Sheffield in their settlement. My doctor sitting on the stool always had the barter menu during business hours, but three other vendors on the other side of the settlement did not. They used the furniture, but never once had barter--just normal settler chatter. I tried different stands from this mod, and same problem. Sheffield was in that settlement, and patrolled as a guard around their area. Pretty sure he was the problem.

Do you have any other suggestions for possible solutions? Vendors work only certain hours, of course. Also, some players mentioned dead zones in settlements that can sometimes make settlers not use markers, but these vendors definitely use the stands/stools/furniture. Damn that Sheffield!

Well, Sheffield is best avoided, but the problem the OP mentioned sounds more likely something to do with funky settlement boundaries - some have portions, for example Taffington (the southern 3rd of it, iirc) where settler assignment actions won't work properly. You may also get the problem if you use custom settlements or extended build areas but I only ever used vanilla stuff.

Downloaded, Installed, and endorsed this mod appears to work pretty soundly i am only installing for the variety of guard posts and so far the guards appear to use these posts without any problems at all..
    thanks

Just a note to say this still seems to be fully-functional. Absolutely love having the variety and the ability to make each settlement feel differentiated.

This might be a loaded request but is there any way you could add an invisible rug with the guard animation used in Goodneighbor by the guards there, where they actually have their weapon out. I think the two BOS Knights by the door to the interior of the Prydwen use something similar as well. The game's vanilla standing guard animation has been so broken since release (The one where it looks like they have their hands in front of them holding a pistol but nothing is there) and it would be nice to actually see guard's with weapons at the ready.

A bit late for a reply, but this is what i figured out about why this is not possible.

      Guard NPCs in the world:
These use an AI package that lets them idle and patrol with their weapon drawn. This is identical to the player or other NPCs drawing their weapon, and only works with existing gun animations.

      Guard Posts in settlements:
These are actually furniture like a chair, bed or workbench. So the settler on guard duty has to actually "enter" the guard post just like he sits down on a chair. Furniture only allows to display its assigned animation loop and some behaviours like turning the head to talk, but not displaying the equipped weapon.

Can you make a version using the Fighting Pit red/blue platform animation. You'd just have to make it so it's the little mat instead. Also this allows that weapon out position and allows Power Armor wearing settlers to take the position.

Could you make optional file with only cooking stove with chopping board as replacer for vanilla cooking stove (cooking station)?
No one ever solved animation problem as good as you.

This looks great, I've been looking for some ways to make my vendors less samey. This should fit the bill nicely! I'm trying this out right away!
