Nice mod. My only comment is to wish for a version with a less raggedy lower coat than the vanilla one. For example like the one afforded to her in the Better Condition Red Leather Trench Coat nexus mod. But either way, this getup looks great on her, and even as a fighting follower it's good enough protection for the early game (maybe just add a metal helmet when on active missions). You can actually add armour on top of her costume but most will look wrong or interfere. Anyway, the items show up just fine in a storage box by her desk. Thanks, endorsed.
UPDATE Dec 2022: My only problem with this mod (sadly a bit of a deal breaker) was incompatibility with some makeovers of Piper's place, like Better Publick Occurrences. No matter which loads first this mod writes lots of vanilla elements back into makeovers I tried. As that other mod is a keeper I've removed this mod unless/until I figure out how to make them play nice via FO4edit. Don't know if my basic skills are up to the task...
I really like this. It's a great way to keep Piper's distinctive look without sacrificing armor protection. Her regular outfit can be used for "peaceful" moments like walking around a city and she can change into the armored version when we go out on quests. I especially like the Publick Occurrences patch on the satchel. The fact that it's in a footlocker in her room along with her other supplies is nice and immersive too.
So I've found a little bug. Whenever I equip the coat on piper it takes the slot of the wedding ring. If I re-equip the ring she just becomes naked. I'm using the standard version.
I love Piper's coat; although I'm curious; is there a version of this mod with the tatters at the bottom removed? I've been trying to find an alternative to the "Rosy Piper" mod.

I really love the concept of this! Really nice to have Piper a bit armored up when out in the wilds! Do you by any chance have plans for different colors of this? As it is a separate outfit and not the "original" trench coat other recolors don't touch this one.

Can you improve another follower like Curie or Cait? Put some protection in their outfits keeping the same feeling of the character!
