Just found this gem. Still works as intended in 2022. Only adds what I need. No unnecessary things I don't want, no mags, no chems, it just works. Thank you.
so im only one using it in 2018 ? :D will it even work? kinda missing screenshot with build menu ,but well see :) great idea though im exactly this minimalistic.. for me even the Modular Kitchen adds to much stuff (as it scripts and you have use chem to uninstal and vene after that it isnt safe) this looks promising and i can uninstall anytime right?
Yeah I have to add to the question what the point of your post is.
1.) It adds fully renovated stuff. This mod adds prewar AND old stuff. For users like myself I'd rather pretend that I scavenged a stove from a nearby house and didn't suddenly learn how to build one from a bunch of steel made from metal buckets and cans. Besides, would you really build a big fancy place then allow a bunch of people from who knows where sit on your bright freshly-cleaned sofa? They're covered in grime, piss-stained clothes and that bucket you used to make that stove was probably somebody's crap bucket not long ago.
2.) It adds in a whole plethora of stuff. Maybe you just want the cooking stations, not tables, sofas, chairs, cupboards, shelves, etc. Also as much as it adds according to the description needs something like SK or SKE. Not everyone wants to/needs to use a keyword overhaul system.
So mods like this one are great for simplistic stuff.
Its a stove that is a cooking station not Nice renovated Stuff which is a Great Mod Too. And Nice thanks for his Mod Love the break down on chooses too. I like Prewar so dont have to download alot of useless stuff that i dont need with the mod
Did he copied the file? no. Does the mod do the exact same thing? no. Does this mod do something the other mod does not? yes.
Its not even the same idea. these aren't just prewar versions, they are working cooking stations, YOU CAN COOK FOOD USING THEM. read what the mod does before labeling it as plagiarism.
I actually prefer the grungy post-war look, but occasionally I need a nice, clean piece of furniture or appliance. This mod is perfect!Thank you so much!!!!
No, the grills already in the world will not be use-able. I will spread my grills around, though, so that you might run across one while playing. I won't remove any vanilla assets, however.
I'd recommend that you don't add any pre-existing ones to the settlements unless they're added to the scrapping list - otherwise you could end up with unscrappable stoves!
When I first saw the pot on the grill, I was feeling a little dubious about it. So, I decided to test out how well it works on a grill IRL. *A few hours later* It worked so well, I have now sold my oven/stove, and bought a second grill exclusively for my stove-top needs. You sir, have changed my life.
I like this. I use the Taffington Boathouse with an oven that the Unofficial Patch adds in. You can't use it for cooking but I'd like to replace it with the post war variant from yours. Only question, did you add in all of the post war ovens or just one? To match the house I'm using a yellow fridge from The Fridge mod and the yellow static stove.
Looking at this I wonder how hard it would be to just apply the post-war textures over the pre-war stove mesh. I may look into this as a personal project.
I'm not sure if the post war textures will work with the prewar mesh as the prewar mesh has more going on than the ruined stove does. For one, the ruined stove is all the same mesh while the prewar stove is made up of three pieces, the body, the burners and the glass for the door. might be that all you'd need do is point the file paths correctly for both the body and the burners and everything will be fine, I really don't know. I'm just mentioning for your information if you do want to do that.
EDIT: I will, however, be adding the other four textures in the near future in case you wanted to wait for that.
Actually your info really helps! This means I can probably use a material swap menthod for the body and burners while keeping the glass intact. Personally that's one thing that's bothered me about using a post-war stove, the glass is still broken on the front. I suppose that does contradict the idea of wanting it to look like I lugged in a stove but if you're fixing up a stove, chair, or couch couldn't you also replace the glass, patch holes, and sew up tears? I doubt you can make it look pristine but tidied up makes sense. Sorry, went on a ramble there...
Anyhow thanks again for that info. Just to be clear though I wasn't trying to imply you have to do all that though, it was just pondering aloud for the most part. I appreciate the work you've done so again, thanks.
I'm in the process right now of updating my esps so I will check to see if the material swap will work with the prewar stove. I'm also looking into something else I can add to the grill that will alert players to the fact that it's a different grill than the static ones but that will allow me to take the pot and ladle off of it.
EDIT: Ok, I just tried and you can't material swap the prewar stove unless you create a new material for it.
I suppose the animation could be reason for it, but some other authors with similar mods have been able to use the cutting board animation, i think which would fit the bbq better.

And Nice thanks for his Mod
and also functioning cooking stations
They were now not the first with this idea.
We are sorry for the bad english Google Translator
Mr. Kael thank you this is what i was looking for. of course postwar version for me all the way...you know cuz immersion.
And again, your point?
When you go to the grocery store, did you ever notice there are several brands of THE SAME THING sold by different companies?
Do you write them all letters and say "Hey, this company already sells canned corn, so, you know, they thought of it first"
Does the mod do the exact same thing? no.
Does this mod do something the other mod does not? yes.

my grandpa put the oxy/acetylene torch under the welding bench to use as a stove one time.
but i kinda agree, would be nice with a "flipping steaks" animation for npcs, but thats some next level s#*! i guess
(nice mod btw! need to see if its something i can use!
