In case anyone sees this he don't seem to be affected by Inspirational perks he can damage you and be damage by you. He didnt die but he did limp after i slam a moltov on some molrart's. So i think he takes up the 2nd follow slot or Dogmeat follow slot whatever. Same thing with Heather Casadin. All in all he didn't complain at all so 1000% less annoying than other followers
my armor disappeared as soon as i made him go to a settlement and i dont know how to get it back and now all i have is a a naked man with a invisible head
So... I get the idea. It works, mostly, as intended.
This said, I don't think it's a perpetual part of my loadout. It's just too buggy...and I think that's less about the mod and more about core mechanics of the game that cannot be changed.
The basic idea here is that you snap in the chip, and suddenly a set of power armor is alive. The way that is done is that a new actor is spawned into the power armor, without a head and with a generic male body. By removing the chip the actor despawns, which is all fine and good. The problems come in the fact that you: 1) Need a mod to make power armor on companions invincible. 2) Need to have this as a fixed companion..or the bugs. 3) The companion offers no benefits beyond a second competent gun.
Complaint 3 is a bit petty, but it's difficult to have a companion that is more than just more guns. That's especially true when there are so many other companions that are...less costly.
Complaint 2 is Bethesda. The actors can jump out of power armor whenever dismissed...because we all remember when settlers used to steal frames and couldn't be kicked out of them, right?
Complaint 1 is also a game function. Power armor is...less impressive as you level, because it has limitations. Maximum strength...yep. Costs to repair not reasonably scaling with damages...yep. Costs to repair period, because apparently a walking tank can be taken out with a pipe gun...check.
9/10 for a functional and decent mod. 6/10 for being usable in the game due to all of the mechanical costs. Composite scoring of 7.5/10. If you want a power armor companion this isn't a bad choice. That said, this is a very niche desire.
Like many here I have lost patriot after sending him home. Does anyone have the PRID to call him back? or another way? Sure I have a place to call home in the Glowing Sea, but I would rather have a better way to summon him.
Try: save funclist 1 this brings up the base Id and reference Id of everything in the game. Search for patriot and use the 2nd one you find. The first is usually the base Id and second is reference
