Installed midway through a non-SimSettlements playthrough and it worked fine. No problems. Settlement boundary extends a little beyond the map border so you can do things like drop water purifiers in the NW creek even though you can't walk there.
If you have the Interesting NPCs mod installed and you save Crystal in the quest Love and Peace, this is where she ends up adter she leaves her old settlement. She can't be assigned settler tasks but will wander around and can be talked to.
I'm having a rather irritating issue where the Ruined House from the sanctuary everglades mod is overlapping with the lakeside cabin making assigning settlers to either impossible.
I've just installed this on a new game. Appears to be working fine as far as I can tell. No crashing or obvious bugs. Kinda miss the merchant that was there, but I can always recruit better ones.
Started a new game recently after having deleted a whole bunch of mods I didn't feel like using any longer. Am lvl 42 again after some 50hrs of gameplay and finally made it to the Lakeside Cabin, but now the game CTDs everytime after a short while when roaming around the pond's rowing boat.
Game even crashed just before arriving at the location, too. Getting sudden V-RAM spikes (from around 1800MB to 2600MB) and it's bye-bye Kansas. Happened three times in a row now
Am still at game version 1.5.157 and mod version 2.5...
Fantastic mod, though I do wish that the shack was able to be built upon, IE walls and stuff added to make it bigger. But in any case, endorsed, I love this mod!
Works like a charm, though there's a few peculiarities I encountered after activating this mod:
- Both the small pond and the water to the North, behind the rocks and cabin, show a strange crack between the shore and the water, as if the bassin was inside another bassin... - There's loot in a trunk and a tool-box, as well as a dog bowl which show up red when hovering over them, meaning you can't pick the stuff up as that would be stealing. - When also using the Build High - Expanded Settlements mod, Abernathy Farm is reset to its original size after having activated the WorkShop in Lake Side Cabin. Not such a big problem when not having yet built in the formerly expanded areas at Abernathy's. I did already however, which has half of my sleeping quarters and most of my walls and turrets sitting outside the settlement's perimeter. - When activating the mod, the cabin/settlement shows on the map immediately so you don't have to 'discover' the place. This means you also don't get the small amount of experience granted when discovering a new place.
That's it for the time being. Not major issues -to me anyway- except for the Abernathy expansion getting reset...
- Would you be able to upload a screenshot of the water issue? I doesn't seem to appear on my copy, and it's not a misalignment within Creation Kit. So it sounds like a texture error which might be caused by and ENB or texture replacer. - Damn, forgot to remove ownership from the Leveled Merchant I removed. - Interesting, I used Abernathy as a reference for Lake Side Cabin and seems I must of moved the build space slightly which would reset space, overwriting any other mods. Until I can make a fix, as long as you load Lake Side Cabin before Build High - Expanded Settlements, BH-ES should overwrite the build change made in Lake Side Cabin - I'll make sure to change this.
Expect an update tomorrow afternoon which will address all these issues.
damn i just noticed the part about abernathy farm...and went nuts.. I had just finished a very long build last night on there and i went there earlier and the old building and pylon were back and i cant delete them even using console like they are part of the mesh.
Scrapped the shack, but there's a small stool that isn't scrappable and stays floating about (circumvented the issue by adding foundations just underneath to be able to use it as a side table) and dirt that also floats in the air and is now sitting on my carpet
There's also a bunch of trees that are no longer scrappable, but that's alright...
It'll be because those items are technically not recognized by the game as "Workshop Items". I'll remove the dirt in Creation Kit and replace that table with a workshop equivalent. I'll see if I can look into those pesky weeds, I mean trees.
Dear mcpicky, sadly i have another problem. When i tried to install your new update from 2.0 to 2.5,everytime i open my pip-boy then boom it crashed. But when i use the old version (2.0) my game not crash anymore.
It'll most likely be the build spaces. To fix a water issue, I practically completely rebuilt the scratch. Try opening a save prior to using v2.0 and run it with v2.5.
Thanks once more for the heads up, McPicky. Downloaded manually as the Nexus' virus scan takes ages these days and prevents NMM from getting in touch with the servers while the scan is still in progress.
This is my 250th .esp, so, I'll have to start hitting the brakes

Ive noticed that after building a perfectly working settlement that settlers stopped coming and happiness dropped slowly to zero...
I has everything it needs in terms of food, defenses ,jobs etc...
I even have a singing settler in it...
Restarted it and its working now..

Please fix this in next update dear mcpicky.
I had just finished a very long build last night on there and i went there earlier and the old building and pylon were back and i cant delete them even using console like they are part of the mesh.
Everything bathing in oil. Even the Abernathys withdrew their complaint regarding the unmitigated shrinking of their owned surroundings.
Must add you forgot an overdue book on the metal round table next to the bed; the sole remnant of a lodger gone by...
Meanwhile found out that adding stuff that belongs to someone to the WorkShop in build-mode doesn't count as stealing
Thanks again mate
There's also a bunch of trees that are no longer scrappable, but that's alright...
Added some screenshots (9) to show where I'm at for the time being
Cheers amigo
