Can't actually build any new receivers on any miniguns, even ones obtained after installation. The other aspects of the mod function; ie more ammo on enemies with miniguns, and the barrels have the changes, but there is no receiver slot on any minigun I find
Is Fist of Fist supposed to be being carried by Fist? Or is it placed somewhere? Because in my game he was armed with a gatling rifle from another mod. Did it overwrite?
Nah, it's in a container near fist. It's somewhere on the roof, look for it.
EDIT: My bad, apparently I didn't put it in a container. Use the console to give yourself the weapon, check the readme for the ID, or use the 'help' command in game to find it.
NIce idea, I've seen the video and i can't wait to check out this mod. The new receivers sounds fun, but having a propper way to aim this gun would be even more, i'm not talking about adding a scope, but a working reflex sight (i think the circle one would works best - would approx the spread) And in real life they use reflex-like sights on vehicle-mounted miniguns this days, shame on you Bethesda for not knowing this
I've seen such thing for a other big gun on the nexus : http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11634/? [WH-Mk22] Hope You like the idea.
I'd do it if I could, but I have absolutely 0 knowledge on how to do so. I could probably look up some tutorials, but I'll have to find time to do so.
Personally though, I don't think it's that big of a deal. The Gunner Sight is small enough to estimate the aim point, and you won't be doing any sniping with the minigun so you won't need pixel precision.
Still, keep an eye out for updates. I MAY change the gunner sight so that it has a cross to indicate the exact aim point, and maybe a proper reflex sight if I find out how to.
Great idea. I might use this. I have downloaded and will endorse, just to keep an eye on this. However, with new receivers, you would expect new sounds. A .50 cal MG would be deafening. It would be like deathclaw roar deepened by 100% and the sheer loudness of it would be deafening. I think it would also require a 100 strength to hold, maybe more than that. That recoil would be tremendous. Maybe only usable while attached to a vertibird.
But, our games can be anything we want. Hell, not all players care about immersion. Some would LOVE to be able to use a vertibird as a melee weapon which does a minimum of 10k damage. Hell, some would even love to be able to have a behemoth as a companion and to fight for them.
I don't know. But, keep up the awesome work. I'll be keeping an eye on this.
Ah, but there ARE new sounds. Check the videos tab, there's a showcase of the 3 endgame receivers. All 3 have new sounds, taken from existing vanilla resources. The .50cal minigun uses the same sound as the .50 hunting rifle, which is pretty loud.
Also, give it a try. I feel like I've balanced the .50cal receiver pretty well, as recoil is high enough to make you want to use the tri-barrel.
