Before I make the bug section any bigger for something so minor and discourage anyone from using this incredible mod, just to want preface my bug find with there's an easy solution.
I found that with my load order if use LogRaam's BA2 file for textures I get a pixelated eye texture bug that only manifests itself when viewing your characters eyes at certain angles. By pixelated eye I literally mean lots of pixels in a rainbow config instead of your selected texture. Not sure the cause but solution is easy enough if anyone runs into this problem.
Remove/ Replace BA2 textures with loose textures. Did it for me instantly! Great Mod and Happy modding everyone
I just tested this myself, and I believe the BA2's were compressed incorrectly. I compressed them again myself (textures in archive2 need the compression to be changed from general to DDS, or will otherwise result in this common rainbow glitch) and the issue disappeared on my initial test.
Good idea thx musashinokami, this worked like a charm for me too! the Tool Archive2 is in your main fallout 4 directory in the "Tools" folder as an exe. really simple to start up and start tinkering with it
Having the same issues as the others: colors don't show, they simply stay brown minus the replacer for the vanilla eye color that Nora and Nate have.
I have tried the steps some people detailed: - I made sure I had TheEyesOfBeauty.bsa and The Eyes of Beauty.bsa - I uninstalled the mod, checked for leftover textures (I'm using MO2, so it shouldn't have any) and then reinstalled. - I sorted my mod load order through LOOT.
None of this works. Only the replacers do. Is there any step I'm missing or this mod deprecated?
NVM, I'm dumb: if you're using MO2, go into INI Editor, select Fallout4Custom.ini and add at the end: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal=
I absolutely love this mod. The option for custom eyes is awesome because I can give him one cybernetic eye. One thing I noticed is that eye will move independently of the other. Sometimes it looks in the opposite direction, or moves when the other one doesn't. I'm not complaining, because I think it's awesome, I'm just wondering if I did something wrong?
If I'm not using the custom eye set option then both eyes work just fine.
are eye textures and face textures separate things? i just spent quite sometime getting all my damn body/face textures working and would hate to download this eye texture mod and black/brown face the hell out of my game.
Please post bug reports or issues in the Bugs page. Make sure to identify the correct file you are reporting on. If possible, post a screenshot. There appear to be two commonly-reported known issues: eyes disappearing and overlapping textures. These are due to the game not the mod. Fixes are in the Docs—>Troubleshooting section. The old All-in-One file has been moved down to Old Versions. Thank you to the many users who have posted!
eyes popping out? just go back to the face editor in looksmenu and select "eye" to shape it back to the head someone should sticky a coment to this, this bug is happening to a lot of people
tnx for the fix Vredeman! and i agree this should be stickied, but do you know the root cause of this issue? i would try to fix it naturally instead of trying to constantly push it back manually
When you install the new Kaleidoscope Edition you will want to select the option to install Both Standalone and All-In-One installer. This installs the main plugin "The Eyes Of Beauty.esp" AND a compatibility plugin called "TheEyesOfBeauty.esp".
I was in xEdit to fiddle with some other mods, but I've noticed that the NPC replacers I'm using that use this mod as a master all seem to have an error at entry XX000EF7. "Error - Could not be resolved." Looking at the actual Eyes of Beauty mod shows me that there is no entry for XX000EF7. Will this be a problem?
a very late reply and you have likely figured this out by now, but for others looking for the same answer - yes, errors that cannot be resolved are generally game-crashing types of problems - though given it's a texture replacement, it'd be a safer one. just remove the entries in the HDPT records or replace them with a FormID that is correct - that sort of customization is quite flexible as it involves textures only

EDIT:
The fix was to install the optional BA2s.
