Downloaded, went to install - and was greeted by an options window asking me if I had Abnormally Whack Klutzy Complete Rubbish aka Da Frikkin' Bloat Mod installed. I hit that NO-button SO hard. I haven't even tried these knives in-game, but I'll endorse the mod simply for allowing me to opt-out from one of my most-hated requirement mods in the installer. Thumbs up man. There's still way too many mods on the Nexus that make that bloody thing a pre-requisite, thank heavens for the No-***** patch collection and attentive mod authors like you^^.

Now I'll go cut some gunners, see how sharp these things are...

    Hey Mike,

Dunno if you're around FO4 any more, but I made a small override patch for this that buffs their damage somewhat (intended for hard-mode-modded Survival games, to keep them competetive), and replaces Pickman's Blade with a Stealthblade Puma named Hush. If you've any interest, let me know and I'll send you the .esp, if you wanted to make it an optional download or something. Cheers! Love the knives, they've been part of every playthrough for years now. For now, my changes are dependent on the main Bowie.esp as a master.

EDIT: Hey, fellow Bowie users! I hear Mike probably won't be back to read this, so I'm keeping my version as a patch that requires this mod.
Unique Pickman's and Bowie Knife Buff

Also makes some other tweaks, like making Bleeding a silent event, since i discovered that by default it throws a Normal-volume detection sound, ffs. Bethesda you so silly.?

Absolutely hoping for better textures in the future, because this is awesome. If you get this in 2K+, I will never play Fallout 4 without it anymore.

+1 Endorsement and +1 Kudo for both the Bowie and Bozar. I would do more but not in the budget.

Talk about attention to detail! I own a Winchester Bowie, and you absolutely nailed it.

really appreciate this mod, thank you VERY much!
was really wanting a decent Bowie for FO4, as I loved "Blood Knap" in New Vegas"

    actually owned a Puma knife

no offence, but any chance of better textures?
the steel on the Puma knives isn't "chrome" like, it's highly polished but got a more...grey look to it, and the guard is nickel silver, even more grey, but all very smooth
    they don't rust, ever
I think the "stealth" blade would look better as deep blued metal.

I'd do textures myself but not up to such any more :/
Drow Cutlass I did some years ago, took while ot get the adamantite blade effect looking right.

    and thanks again

All you'd have to do is turn up the specularity in the BGSM, the non shinyness comes from the parts of the blade that I've covered with a dark specular map, and the look is intended.

sorry had to give up art last year, health issues, and used to doing it for art programs not games
I know it's pretty similar but never used the apps for games.

started working on " Damascus steel " textures for my meshes, which are fun

      actual Damascus Steel bowie

      http://static.wixstatic.com/media/281384_7d401a738d7a4421a5e9dd0ed17c89ae.jpg_srz_563_427_85_22_0.50_1.20_0.00_jpg_srz

they use chemical staining to really enhance the look

quite an interesting technique and gives very unusual looks to the metal

Maybe on a unique version of the bowie, that would be super cool.

Nifskope makes everything ugly but check this out.

      http://i.imgur.com/NcsAZ28.png

I'm making it more shiny in game just for you, but you can't tell because of nifskope being weird with BGSM files.

This will be uploaded to my big mod that combines all the other weapons I've made, and it'll probably be this week or next week that it comes out, I want to make dungeons/unique locations for all the unique weapons I'm shoving in so I'm taking my time making the new locations and enemies feel natural.

Any requests on a name or a location for this?
