KNOWN ISSUES:

Sometimes scavengers show up and fire at the robots or raiders. Sometimes there are freak rad storms. I haven't nailed down the encounters part of this yet. I recommend saving EVERY time BEFORE you travel to Easy City Downs, in case you need to reload the racetrack.

Sometimes the loudspeaker narration plays while the robots stand in the starting blocks. If (when) that eventually happens, use Ernie's master terminal: change route to racetrack, stop the robots, start the race. The robots will be off and running. Go run with them, it's fun! I placed Ernie's password and key in the steamer trunk to the right of his computer desk.

Easy City Downs NPCs will not get mad if you pick safes or pockets in front of them. That is a feature, not a bug. Also, I shot a triggerman multiple times before he actually shot back. Everybody has a breaking point, I guess. (Of course, I loaded the save and let him live again because we are friendly people here. Heh.)

All of the human NPCs are carrying a copy of the same racetrack announcement that is in the steamer trunk. I did that so I could peek at their inventory and confirm the mod loaded my version of the NPCs. (You know, the ones that don't try to kill you.) I left the fliers in their pockets, do what you wish with them. If you are a modder, you could replace the fliers with flowers, bottlecaps, or something else track related.

There are still random mines in the perimeter junk, dead bodies on spike poles, and cars that explode if you self-destruct the robots. Watch where you step for now.

Always back up your save files and mod folders.


PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN:

Please come back to the mod page and "Show Us Your Easy City Downs". I'd love that after all this learning, testing, and tweaking. I suspect you could drop a workshop mod in there, plus a scrap mod, plus some other miscellaneous magic and really turn the racetrack into something special.

There's plenty of room for artists, designers, scripters, voice actor work, quests, and more. Races? Yes. Gambling? That would be awesome.

This is an open source mod. You do not need to ask me for anything. Take it and run with it! Go and do great things.
