Thank you so much for this tool. It has made a huge difference.
In case it helps anyone failing to get F4SE to read CustomControlMap.txt:
It's only mentioned once on the description page where to place the CustomControlMap.txt file (i.e. it's not mentioned in the keyhelper's Readme.txt). You don't copy it to the root Fallout 4 folder where the F4SE files are, but instead into the Data\F4SE folder, which may not exist so you'll have to create it.
e.g. C:\Games\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\CustomControlMap.txt
Your tip is worth gold- because not everybody is a freakin' nerd. You saved me from pulling out my last hair about the issue. With a proper instruction much desperation could have been avoided- no offense, just sayin'.
For lazy people, you can link the "real" CustomControlMap.txt to the location where the Key Helper thinks it's located. For me, I have Fallout on drive E and the tool writes to C:\Program Files (x86)\...
Save once in the tool, open a Terminal, go to the folder where it wrote the config file, delete the file and create the link it to the real file: C: cd "\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE" del CustomControlMap.txt mklink CustomControlMap.txt "E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\CustomControlMap.txt"
This is a god sent. Why it isn't more know? Also, does somebody know of a mod that disable workshops in game so you can't activate them by mistake and own a settlement?
This is a blast from the past. Although I sunk just over 1000 hours into FO4, I always hated that I had to use AHK to get around the workshop controls hardcoding. I am trying to use your mod now that I'm trying to get back into FO4, but I have a problem - I use Right Mouse Button for forwards, and for the life of me I can't get it to stop rotating. If I don't look at anything while in workshop mode I can move forwards with RMB, but as soon as I look at an object it starts rotating it. I have unbound Right Button from every other action, and have rebound LTrigger and RTrigger from the WORKSHOP menu to numerous different buttons, but it never works - RMB still rotates, and the new rotate buttons don't work.
Edit: Damn, it was the Place Everywhere mod that was making things rotate! I'll leave this up in case someone else has the same issue.
If you know the use of any previously undocumented functions, please head over and comment on the relevant section! I will be updating the main sheet periodically to reflect the new documentation submissions.
Together maybe we can finally figure out what all these buttons actually do.
So, I can't find the button for "companion transfer items", which is "R" on pc, the same as reload. So what happens is the companions keep getting in my way as I am reloading and I end up just clicking transfer all the time on accident. Anyone know where I can find it on the program? or a different method?
You do not get enough credit for this mod. This has to be one of The Most important mods ever created for a game. This is such a major issue for a pc game, and every single person who has used this thanks you.
**If anyone has problems getting this mod to "activate", look further in the comments, that worked for me**

No more copying back & forth.cd "\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE"
