Fallout 4 Key Helper
====================

A program that will easily let you bind any key or mouse button to any available command.

Requirements:
=========================
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or greater (comes with Windows Vista and 7)
or download at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=25150

How to Use:
=========================
1. Choose a category from the list at the top.
2. Choose a command from the box below.
3. Uncheck the "Use the in-game assignment for this command" if you want to overwrite a Main control
4. Remove the existing bound key if applicable.
5. Select the desired key, mouse button, or alias for that command and click the Add button.
6. Repeat 1 through 5 until finished.
7. Click Save & Write Changes.

How Command Aliases work:
=========================
When a command has a command alias bound to it, the key bound to the corresponding command in the "Main Gameplay"
section will do this action. For example, under "Menu Mode", "Accept" is bound to "" by default.
This means that pressing the key that is bound to "Activate" in the "Main Gameplay" section (or assigned to it in-game)
will "Accept" a menu item. Having command aliases will allow you to change a single control in game, but have the change
affect multiple commands.

Command aliases should be added to both the keyboard and mouse controls. Doing so allows the alias to work even if changing
the control in-game between mouse and keyboard. For example, the "Accept" command with "" only in the keyboard
bindings would work if the key is the default E or any other key, but would not work if "Activate" was changed to Mouse 4
or another mouse button.

Known Issues:
=========================
1. The in-game interface will not update to show your custom key choices in most cases
2. If you have both a Command Alias and a hard-coded key or mouse button, the control is not guarenteed to work
3. The command descriptions are incomplete and possibly inaccurate in some cases.
If you have a more accurate description for a command, post a comment or PM me.
If you correctly fill out the undocumented and unknown commands in the .txt file send it to me and I will add you to the credits.
5. The gamepad will no longer be bound to anything

Note from Ste41k:possibly more bugs I have not had time to do a lot of testing.I will try and fix them as
they show up if there are any.

Controls:
=========================
"Show All" checkbox
-------------------------
By default only common commands are shown; when you check this box, all commands are listed.

Note From Ste41k:That was true for skyrim but for fallout 4 most of the command section show by default.
There are a few sections that only show up if you check this box but they seems to have no useful command.
For now they are undocumented and unknown commands so I am hiding them.

-------------------------
"Use the in-game assignment for this command" checkbox
-------------------------
When checked, the key from Fallout 4 Key Helper will be overridden by what's assigned in game

-------------------------
"Keyboard: 104 Keys" checkbox
-------------------------
By default the standard 104 keys are shown; when you check this box, all available keys are listed

Note From Ste41k:This is depreciated for the fallout 4 version,you will have the same list of
keys even if this is checked.

Revert
-------------------------
Undo all changes back to your last "Save", or if you never saved, from when you started the program

Clear All
-------------------------
Depending on whether "Show All" is checked or not, either erases all keyboard and mouse binds,
or just the ones for common controls

Save
-------------------------
Save your list of bound keys to hardcode_data.txt without writing to Fallout 4, useful before a Revert or Clear All
You must do a "Save & Write Changes" before any in-game effect will be seen

Save & Write Changes
-------------------------
Saves your list of bound keys and automatically* writes the customcontrolmap.txt file to the correct location in
the Fallout 4 directory *(reads the registry for Steam's location, usually works)
