So this is a beta I made for personal use, it fixes up some bugs and revisits balancing, also takes on settlement building.
Here's a list of changes:
- Settlement workbenches now have appropriate perk requirements (They're just as hardcore as the rest of the gameplay so no point complaining. But weapons workbench needs gun nut as opposed to local leader etc.)
- Settlement Workbench added. This workbench allows advanced economics and is the new benefit of local leader. You can use silver/gold/plastic to print new caps, bottle water, and create settlement specific shipments for crops and water.
- Healing and food changed. Now you'll find bandages and remedies for each specific injury, making the chemist table actually useful.
- Water is now altered to no longer be stimpaks without side effects. Good quality water will take some more effort.
- Combat has been fixed up to generally work better.
- New companion patch that changes companions to use DLC items and also remakes them to be a bit more lore friendly and a bit less marketing/Bethesda's focus groups friendly. For instance Cait actually looks like a raider, Preston has a few battle scars, and so on.
- Everything is just cooler. I've tested this for like half a year now probably and resolved most issues. Features all kinds of tweaks several of which I can't even remember so don't bother asking about compatibility. All I can say is that it won't corrupt your save (I made sure of that, it's not that kind of mod) and that it won't affect your game permanently. So you can try it and uninstall it without issue. With the exception of very absurd and extreme circumstances, I'm not promising anything I'm just saying I made the effort.
