With continued development alongside bug fixes, I aim to work on the following features (not in priority order). Newly added plans are in green text.

  • Remote assign settlers to artillery (to save trying to find one to assign to it) - initial implementation in v1.0.0
  • Options to have standardised outfits for settlers tasked as artillerymen - initial implementation in v1.0.0
  • Illum IR flares to work with night vision devices
  • Development of chemical and smoke rounds to add variety - initial implementation in v1.0.0
+Build in the ability for others to easily add their own ammunition types with a template esp provided.

  • A system to automatically set fire mission settings based on hostile targets in area
  • Option to use smoke flares to call emergency fire missions - initial implementation in v1.0.0
  • Improvements to the firing code to give a better spread of rounds around targets. Mimicking real life concentrations - initial implementation in v1.0.0
  • Ability to have composite fire missions mixing munition types - initial implementation in v1.0.0
+Using the trading interface to allow quick and easy configuration of fire mission ammunition composition - initial implementation in v0.2.BETA
  • Audio cues as fire mission progresses
  • Different bombardment patterns (creeping barrage for example) as opposed to just circular bombardments
+Enhance the use of illumination only fire missions to use different parameters. Such as fire rounds to maintain a time period of illumination over an area or following the player.
  • Additional ways to acquire artillery ammunition other than just crafting (vendors, world, workshop DLC etc) - initial implementation in v1.0.0
+An optional passive method of accuring ammunition (likely a set number of rounds per time period for any given number of batteries)
+Add a small amount to 'boss' chests in military locations (like Fort Hagen etc)
+Add a small amount to military vendors
  • Expand the use of artillery to cover random encounters involving minutemen
  • Use of artillery to support the defence of settlements remotely
  • Enhanced capability and interoperability between this mod and my Call in Fire Support mod
+When using 'Close Fire Support' then flow straight through to calling a bombardment for quick and emergency fire support
+Build a feature that could allow up to four targets to be selected for a wider pattern strike.
