Follow these instructions if you are starting a project from scratch or are fine with discarding previous sliders, zaps, etc.
These instructions assume you have some knowledge of Outfit Studio. If you are unfamiliar, please check alternate guides/tutorials/videos to understand the basics of OS first.
0- Start Outfit Studio.
1- Convert your outfit's base shape to a 'Uni-boob', 'Uni-butt', etc. shape.
I will not go into too much detail on this step as this depends on your individual skill and preference. But no need to overthink here, if you are happy with the outfit's starting shape, it's usually good enough.
To give an example, for a Uni-boob conversion, this means is that your base mesh (CBBE Zeroed) ideally shouldn't have any sinking between the breasts. There are three ways you can go about doing this;
A - Use Outfit Studio's Inflate brush on the dip.
B - Use the provided reference 'CBBE -> CBBE Helper Shapes' ;
-Load the reference from the list
-Slider->Conform all
-Increase 'Base to Uni-Boob' slider value to ~100% (or as needed)
-Finally, click 'Slider->Set Base Shape'
C - Use Blender, 3ds, Maya, etc. You will get the best results this way. In Blender, for example, you can use the 'Shrinkwrap' modifier on the breast region of your outfit, to get it shrink-wrapped to the Uni-boob body mesh, etc.
Note that the quality of the sliders will depend greatly on the base shape.
2- Choose your conversion reference. This depends on the type of outfit you are converting.
Once the base shape setup is complete, save the project, in case you haven't. With your outfit mesh open in OS, load your chosen reference (File-> Load Reference-> Select from 'From Template' list).
3- Creating your sliders and copying weights.
With the reference loaded, fix any clipping on your outfit mesh, if needed. To create sliders, Go Sliders-> Conform All. Optionally, if you use CBP Physics, you can copy weights too (Right-click on your outfit' shape name-> Copy Bone Weights-> OK. (Read the 'Disclaimers & Warnings' section for more info.)).
4- Replace OR remove your reference BEFORE saving.
Now the important bit; Go to File->Load Reference and load the default 'CBBE Body'. Make sure to tick the "Merge new sliders with existing sliders" checkbox. This will replace the Helper reference with the default CBBE body but leave the outfit's sliders and weights intact.
You can now zap the default CBBE body as you would normally (if needed), copy weights if you haven't in Step 3 and save. DO NOT conform sliders again.
5- Save your project
6- Test out your new outfit in Bodyslide and in-game.
