I announced this on my New Vegas mods, might as well do it here.
See, thing is, Fallout 4 is popular. Before it was some kind of niche thing for a select group of players who played games according to their preference as individuals. Now, a lot of people play Fallout 4 because it's "cool" or the "latest thing."
And, turns out, those people are insufferable. So, right now, I'm going back to New Vegas until Ubisoft churns out something else to grab these people's attention spans, and the nice, regular community remains.
Because these people don't really get modding. Or how to criticise mods. Idea is, you get a mod, you play it, you like the idea of the mod, but you feel it can improve somehow.
So you tell me, the author, about how to improve it, and if I can do it; Then I totally will. That's how it's been for years.
Now I keep getting these people who don't even like the idea of my mods, and insist on telling me I should turn my mod into something entirely different from what it is, and when I tell them I'm not interested in that, then, suddenly, "I can't handle criticism."
Because I won't accept their thinly veiled and usually condescending completely new mod request.
So, yeah. I'll see you lot when things cool down here a bit, and if you're new: Then by all means, none of this is necessarily directed at you. I think new people are great. That's not the problem here.
Unless you're the sort of person who buys a new iPhone, even though you already have a perfectly functional smartphone, simply because it's the "latest thing" then, ignore what I have to say. By all means. Welcome to the Nexus.
Also, in New Vegas, people didn't send me personal threats and harassed me using the PM system. That's never happened before except for at the Fallout 4 Nexus.
And I won't put up with that. I'm not paid to mod. Why would I mod for people who treat me like garbage?
So, yeah, see you soon.
Hopefully...
And PS:
Stop calling me entitled simply because I don't want people sending me threatening and abusive messages through the personal messaging system when I release new mods. The entitled thing to do is to harass people because you don't like their mods and wish to varnish them out of existence to accommodate your delicate sensibilities. You can simply ignore them like any other human being would, and thus create a universe where more than one type of person can live.

I think, this is my first Post since I registered in... I don't know 2008? 2010? (EDIT: I checked, since February 2007) And I just want to take this opportunity and thank ALL modders for their great work!!!
I am one of those "silent" ones. I have an account for many years now and have never complained about anything. I see a mod as something that someone changed in the game and is generous enough to share it with others. And I think other people should just appreciate that. If a mod leaves me unsatisfied, I simply don't use it.
In my world, you guys are HEROES!!!
Thank you all, for all the hard work and dedication!!!
Thanks for the support. If you're ever doing comments again sometime in 2022 or whatever, just remember you were off to a great start. Really brought a smile on my face.
If someone'sending you threats through the PM system - you really should be letting the staff know about that so we can "resolve" the situation.
There's a high chance it's not just you they do this to, and I'd rather stamp out something like this and save people the hassle of trying to put up with such nonsense bythemselves.
Hopefully we all can get back to it soon.
