for Wasteland Outpost - ANF

Version numbers for the mods listed here are those i used while building this blueprint. Later versions 'should' be fine.

Pick up the patched ESP from your FO4/Data move it to a new location, ZIP
the ESP together with the compiled scripts from above and name the ZIP

Drop it in NMM and it will overwrite the original ESP, while adding the uninstall scripts for the mod.

PSA: The download for Dead Wasteland has been removed from Nexusmods, it is an integral part of my blueprints.
It is available on Bethesda.net from now on though. Slighly inconvenient but you can grab it there.

You'll need a Bethesda.net account and add it to your library.
Start Fallout 4 and go into the main menu/mods to download it. You'll have to login to Bethesda.net in Fallout 4.
I do deactivate it immediatly after the download and the go into my Fallout 4 Data folder to grab the files.
I copy them to my mod-archive, and delete the ones in Data afterwards.
Make a ZIP from the files and use that in your usual method of managing mods.
(Be aware the ingame modmenu can mess with your loadorder, be carefull and make backups.)

5. SCRAPPING
As long as there are no scrapprofiles that can be included with a blueprint, your best bet will be following the guidelines below. (you'll find more examples at the end of the image gallery.)

Scrap all the crops, all tato's and the melons at the back.

Scrap all the wired fences, also remove the rolls of wire and poles laying around.

Remove everything from the inside and around the main building, lower floor/top floor. All furniture(chairs-matresses-shelves)/boxes/barrels/clutter/workbenches/dirt must be gone.
Don't touch the walls/floors/stairs/railings.The result should look like this:

(note v1.00: You can remove the picture frames left in these images, i added them to the blueprint in version 1.00.)

There are things that can not be scrapped, without a scrapmod, but need to be removed before using this blueprint.

The most popular choices are Scrap Everything and Spring Cleaning. I used Spring Cleaning and the Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch.
There are some differences in what can be scrapped between Scrap Everything and Spring Cleaning.

If you do not want to use scrapmods, you could alternativly use the 'extra object selection' of Place Eveywhere or use the console to select these and the command 'disable' followed by 'markfordelete'.

Remove the 'traders campfire' (Carla Trashcan will get a nice shop with new idle markers for her and the pack brahmin),

Inside the main building also remove this (there will be a merchant using the tiny space behind it)

6. IMPORT SETTINGS
Read the Import Guide I wrote for Transfer Settlements and keep it at hand.

RECOMMENDED General Settings:
- Shut down generators during the power-up phase.
- Turn off NPC AI during import.


OPTIONAL General Settings:
- Import items from the ground up.
- Blueprint style blueprint info. (Not needed for the BASIC download)
- Multithhreaded script execution.


REQUIRED Import Settings
Select all options without Nuking and Tamed Creatures
Note that the "marker-based"-option will force buildmode when the import starts.


7. POWER GRID
The powering-up phase should NEVER be done in the optional pipboy-mode due to game engine script execution limitations.
All of the wiring and pipe conduits should work out-of-the-box. For this settlement there are NO extra steps needed. "It just works".

PLEASE NOTE:
The recruitment beacon is NOT WIRED.
I did this to avoid involuntary attracting of new settlers straight after importing the blueprint.
The recruitment beacon will shut off at nighttime. The spotlights on the same powergrid become active at night and are consuming the needed juice.

8. EXTRA TIPS
1. GUNS|GEAR animated lightboxes.
Due to a slight timing difference during import this signboard can become out of sync during import.
- Simple fix: Turn the power switch of for a while, go and explore your new settlement, repower it after 5-10 realtime minutes.
- The simple fix does not always work. Use the computer and reset the switches (interval and delayed), set them all to 3 seconds, or choose your own preference. Repeat the simple fix afterwards if they still are unsynced.

2. STAINED GLASS NUKA LAMPS
These do not always light up after the import. Pick them up in buildmode and TAB out. That will fix them.
