With this mod when in VATS even when it show accuracy below 50% or even around 10% I can still guarantee most hits and most enemies got slaughter by 10mm pistol, the game become a cakewalk
Combat Enhanced-Tactics seems better because too many things modified in this larger version that they didn't fully understand. Are you still around taylorsd? We would all like an update.
WTF DUDE!! This Mod is Great BUT TERRIBLE At the same time... Im not using this until u fix the damn vats.. VATS is Completely Rendered Useless now.. IM NOT GOING TO f*#@ing MISS HITTING SOMEONE POINT BLANK IN THE FACE IN VATS NO WAY I SHOULD FREAKING MISS WTF DUDE!!!! Weapon Sways WAY TO MUCH Which makes almost any gun usless at med range... E.G I cant hit anything worth s#*! in Vats and Out at medium range with a god damn Assault rifle wtf dude!! AND IF IM f*#@ing POINT BLANK AND SHOOT U IN THE FACE OR CHEST I REALLY SHOULDNT MISS.. NO MATTER THE LVL U SAY THIS MOD IS PLAYER SKILLED BASED WHEN IN REALLY IT ISNT.. Mind u im nor crippled and im fully healed.. so wtf..
Though I agree with you there are many settings I would personally not have included, I don't understand how anyone could have any issues FO3editing this to their personal tastes. Mods such as this, which alter game settings, are a great place for newbies to cut their teeth on FO3edit. I highly recommend this mod, though with the caveat that really applies to almost any mod but especially to settings mods: You'll want to edit this so take a coffee break and sit down with FO3edit's manual!
@taylorsd Many thanks. I LOVE the AI improvements (but did remove jump XD )!
It seems combatenhanced-package v1 have two issues First: It makes VATS accuracy ridiculously high. Second: It disable greetings. In general its good, but cause some problems throughout the game.
To fix it you need to open module in fo3edit and delete fAIMinGreetingDistance and fGunSpreadWalkBase. Well, it's work for me at least.
Is this mod being worked on still? Or are there any similar mods around?
Also, I would like to remove npc's abillity to pick up a better weapon, and only have unarmed pick up weapons. Can I do this with the G.E.C.K? And how would I do it?
I wanted a mod that would make the NPCs use cover more often, and not charge into their deaths like complete retards.
This mod has this, but it has a lot of bloat too.
I don't care about jump height, or player turn speed, or the various other tweaks you've made to general gameplay. All I care about is having the NPC AI being more intelligent and legitimately challenging.
I uninstalled this mod because it simply does not give me what I expected - improved AI without a bunch of other changes that have nothing to do with NPC combat behavior. I tried it in hopes that the other changes would negligible or perhaps even improve my gameplay experience, but I just found myself frustrated and wasting time trying to rid myself of the annoying tweaks in FO3Edit.
As to the questions about the differences between the 3 mods out there that seem like the same thing, here is my take on it:
1) GTO (created by taylorsd) is the original modifications made to the game settings and body part data. This was last updated back in May of 2009. This is most outdated version, although still functional on its own.
2) Combat Enhanced - Tactics (created by taylorsd, taken over by IAR80) is a less-involved version of GTO, scaling back thenumber of changes and only focusing on combat situations (mostly). It also has a version of these same effects with the changes that IAR80 made to the Package version, which blends it moreso with the CE-Package verions than GTO.
3) Combat Enhanced - Package (created by taylorsd, taken over by IAR80) is a combined package of both CE-T and GTO, with updated settings from the other two.
So, basically all three are similiar in nature, with about 80% of the same settings. IMO, this mod (CE-P) has the most amount of changes and is also the most recently updated mod of the three. As such, it breaks away from working flawlessly along side of XFO, FWE, and MMM - but it CAN work with them after a wee bit of tweaking. Although the decription leaves a bit to be desired to clearly distinguish this mod from the others, if you are having trouble choosing I suggest to use this one.
