It also smooths over a few immersion issues during gameplay.

Description:
This mod allows you to proceed with a Childrace at initial character creation and not have to worry about using the console to call up the showracemenu or setscale later.

Just choose your Childrace and go!

It also smooths over immersion issues by making references to your age and birth more ambiguous.

CB Add-On; This plugin replaces the Black Widow/Lady Killer perks and the associated dialogue with options and responses
more in line with a child-age Player Character. It also alters other "adult-oriented" dialogue along the same lines.

The Enhanced Children mod, among other things, lets you play the game as a child. I enjoyed the narrative shift, but a few immersion issues crept up early that bugged me. Childhood Beginning is my attempt to smooth over those issues.

Details:
Changes the chronological progression of the beginning:
Birth -> One Year Later
Toddler -> Nine Years Later
10th Birthday Party -> One Year Later
G.O.A.T -> Nine Weeks Later
Escape

Omits age/race changes from the transitions from birth->toddler->Birthday->G.O.A.T->Exodus (CG00-CG04).
This way the character is not made into a default child or turned into an adult later.

Alters dialogue from CG03 (i.e. the G.O.A.T. section) so no one mentions your age or that the G.O.A.T. is for 16 year olds.
Snipped and spliced the audio to match said dialogue (audiophiles beware =P )

The Player's classmates match him/her in age.

In the G.O.A.T. exam room, desks have been scaled smaller(.76 from 1.0). This was to ensure that the npcs write the test properly. Any larger and they were holding the paper in the desk or under it.

Changes a Loading Screen plaque; to omit that the G.O.A.T. is for 16 year olds.

Makes Moriarty's Terminal entry on James' passing through more ambiguous.

Little Lamplight; The kids will no longer refer to you as mungo or other age related insults (also includes the kids in Paradise Falls). Cleaned up age infering dialogue.
(The edited audio, and by extension the lip synch is a bit rougher here. Many of the lines originally ended with an age related insult; meaning the tone and inflection for ending the sentence fell on 'mungo' or similar, making it difficult to cut it properly. Maccready being the worst offender: Mungo this, mungo that, mungo mungo mungo)

Vault 112 and Tranquility Lane; Removes forced age changes when activating and leaving the pod. Go in as a kid, come out as one.
Also the Player's pod was made child sized (ie. scaled down to .76 from 1.0) this was so the character and pod animation worked properly. May seem a bit out of place, but consider that Van Braun was a bizarre fellow and the almighty power of PLOT commands it.

Dad/James related dialogue in the MQ5 section (right after Vault 112). Will no longer give a specific reference to your age, or when he left Project Purity.

Trouble on the Homefront - Everyone now is the appropriate age. Because the residents of the vault have to choose between a murderous Dictator, his twelve year old daughter, or the wasteland.

Vault 106 - The hallucinations of the Player's classmates are now the appropriate age.

What it doesn't change:
Gameyear; From birth to escape, it still progresses the full 20 years.
(Frankly I don't know what, if anything, relies on the default gameyear, so I didn't touch it. Overall it is a minor detail very few will actually notice)

Puberty hits hard in the vault; the other characters that are now children still have their adult voices
(Have to live with it. I tried to alter the audio to make them sound more youthful, but could not get it anywhere acceptable)

Lip Synch - Though I changed the audio, I did not generate new lip synch files.
(I don't have the tools to create new .lip files. But the changes in audio are small, so any extra lip flapping is barely noticeable)

The note that Dad/James leaves for the Player in the beginning still refers to the Player as an adult.
(I consider it a reference to maturity rather than chronology, so I'll be leaving it alone.)

NPCs will still refer to the Player as Sir/Maam/Lady/Mister.
(It would require to many edits to completely remove and it doesn't directly contradict Player age, so I'll leave it. Besides, The Player chews gum and kicks butt, and gum hasn't been manufactured in over 200 years. When the Player comes out of the Wastes alone and heavily armed, people will treat them with some modicum of respect, regardless of age.)

WARNING:
If you choose to play as an adult and do not disable this plugin you will show up at your 10th Birthday party fully grown. Also you will not change ages when going through Tranquility Lane. Not game breaking, just weird.

CB Add-On Details:

Black Widow and Lady Killer perks are replaced by Cutie Pie and Little Man perks respectively. New Icons are included.
(The icons are fairly simple, but they aren't complete duplicates of other icons.)

Cutie Pie/Little Man apply a +10% damage bonus to adults; rather than the original +10% versus the opposite sex.
(I felt this better reflected the new names. As well, being functionally identical, they are no longer unbalanced due to gender disparity in the NPCs.)

Black Widow and Lady Killer related dialogues no longer infer or deal with seduction or sexual content.
Now infers that the Player's inherent "cuteness" or earnest nature is used to convince the NPC.

The following NPCs have Black Widow/Lady Killer dialogue; Agatha, The Antagonizer, Burke, Brianna, Cherry, Dukov, Fantasia, Karl, Ronald Laren, Nova, The Machinist, Uncle Roe.

Some of these NPCs also have other "adult-oriented" dialogue, not related to the Black Widow/Lady Killer perk, it has been changed to be either more generic or more in line with the perk related changes.
(Also, altered one Player response dealing with Bittercup.)

For all changed NPC dialogue, the audio has been edited to match.

Install:
Copy files to your Data Folder,in your Fallout 3 directory.
Then make sure the plugin is enabled; either in the Data Files from the Fallout 3 launcher or with FOMM.

Uninstall:
Remove the plugin, delete the audio files, and delete '9 weeks later.bik'
