Need some help with this. Had some difficulty getting FOMM to even access the files so I never ended up activating them and eventually deleted the files, but have noticed that every BoS outcast armor now shines very brightly. I've seen the issue come up with other people when used with another of this guys mods but I don't have it, or even this one anymore, installed to cause the it like most other people said it. I haven't ever downloaded any other armor retexture mod so I don't know what else could be causing it.

Edit: kinda fixed. Redownloaded the files, got it to show up in FOMM after a few tries and now the armor is both not shiny but also the new textures the mod gives. Sounds like the mod overwrites the vanilla meshes so deleting the mod would leave that mesh gone and screw things up some.

You should try using Mod Organizer under the Skyrim downloads to run Fallout 3. I never have and am about to test it out. I had trouble with FOMM recently despite it working just fine before. Many crashes related to kernel32.dll and I lost my entire game. You can also save or copy your main Data folder from FO3, in it's Vanilla state. After copying it elsewhere try actually installing the textures in the data folder. It can save time and memory most likely but it can also be tricky in case a file is overwritten. But as it relates to installing manually in the Data folder it also has advantages too. Hopefully it won't give you anymore issues.

Installs fine with NMM. Get latest version at GitHUB: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases

Hi, i am a fan of you're armor re textures but have 2 enquiries.
the first one being.. is the "outcast DX normal visor" the same texture (without the red visor of course).. as the "outcast DX high res"? or is it a lower resolution texture without the red visor, i feel the red visor makes a huge difference in the appearance of the outcast's and makes them feel less approachable/friendly, so if i could use you're "high res" textures minus the red visor.. that would be great!.

My second enquiry is, would it be possible to get an additional mod that would make the "T51-b winter version" the same texture as you're "High res T51-b" as i want to give my follower a set of T51-b armor as well but i would like it to match my set.

Now i have no experience at all in creating mod content.. so i have no idea how much work this would be for you and completely understand if you cant do it but in theory (at least in my head) wouldn't it be fairly easy to replace the "T51-b winter version" with a already created "High res T51-b" texture? or would they conflict and not be compatible.. as i said i have no experience in modding so please don't take what i said the wrong way, as it was not my intention.

    Thanks either way. :)

Is there a 2K version? The Downloads tab could use some work.

The "No Thanks" in the Description was quite funny.
    Especially the Disney one.

The comments of the author thus far regarding compatibility (for glowing problem) are:
    a) "currently i load BoS DX before Outcast DX"
    b) "explanation: In FO3, Bethesda made the Outcast PA use the SAME mesh as the BOS Pa, so if a BoS armor is made with glow parts, then the Outcast would have the SAME parts. To avoid odd looking Outast, i had to add a blank texture to the Outcasts, in order to prevent the outcast armor from trying to glow the same way BOS does. "

I assume it's very imprtant to install outcasts after BoS to overwite and place the outcast esp lower in the load order, to avoid the weird shining effect.

      Can anyone confirm this:-
Install bos then outcast and overwrite bos?
Load bos esp before outcast esp?
      Thanks

Tried a while back when BOS DX & Outcast DX both were released & had same issue. I found another mod similar that would not conflict by glow or the file names that would cause it to happen. Since Outcasts & BOS both use a name or two in mesh/textures would suggest to use one or the other as BOS DX has an active ESP that is needed to be active which causes the overwrite between BOS & Outcast DX sides. If wish further inquiry of this can PM me I can explain more from my own version & what I did.

Im using fallout wanderers edition and it seems like the Fitted Power Armor affects the lighting. I turned off the fitted requirement for that mod and put on another outcasts regular armor, suddenly making the lighting and glow chest and helmet effects work. Anyone know how to get the glow effects onto the fitted power armor?

It just keeps glowing! Is it because of FWE?
