Er, just to point out Zele is incorrect because there aren't any marquee tents in Rivet Market! They might be confusing this mod with your Rivet City Cloth Simulation stalls - which I don't use for in FO3 many of those are indeed indoors. But of course, as you say, one could logic that mod's animations as Rivet having good air-con (or, maybe more believably in 2277, merely old but viable vent fans).
Man, I wish my PC was good enought to download all your animation mods. They look like a great addition to the wasteland's immersion. Too bad my game lags like crazy with them 😅
try using type 1 - you get more clipping but the animation should have significantly less off an impact . problem is one of the areas these are used in abundance happens to have like 10 of these loaded in at the same time, is this the area you tested and noticed a performance impact?
Yeah, it was near a super mutant camp, I guess there was a ton of things going on, I also have MMM with increased spawns, so that probably also added to the mayhem, with like 3-4 tents flapping around and a bunch of muties having an orgy in them.
I'll try version 1. Thank you!
*EDIT* All seems good now, I have the other ones installed and the game seems to be running smoothly. Great mods
hey old buddy :). nice to hear from the cult member ;D. appreciate it! always refining for Fallout! if you have any requests im open ears . you up to any modding these days ?
ill be returning to f3 modding soonish actually! :D been too busy with my studies recently so i decided to refine oblivion for the final time while doing that. 5 years of work complete (but its modding so is it really :p)
ah will that be for making or for playing with mods! be coming back to mod at the same time as me, be like the good ol days lol. I hope your studies are going well!
Hi. Endorsed. I was checking both version of the mod and noticed this lighting issue on my end (type 1 vs type 2). The tents are located on Germantown Police HQ.
Type 1 uses a double sided rendering - so the interior gets the same Vertex colouring as the outside which is very unrealistic, Type 2 remedies this but at the cost of double the file size .
I didnt mention it on the Fallout 3 page, only FNV
(Note: for TTW I guess you might be better off using Ashen's FNV version). Anyways, just to confirm for others that I tested the mod in FO3 at what I imagined are the two most obvious spots - Fort Bannister where there's a bunch of exterior (i.e. open) marquee tents, and at Point Lookout's Disaster Relief Outpost (where there's a bunch of interior ones (i.e. marquees with doors leading to interior tent cells).
Type 1 of the mod is more animated (tent walls nicely billow in & out) but you'll get a little clipping of one or two items at a few tents. Type 2 is more subtlely animated with nice yet less obvious movement - but you'll probably avoid any clipping at all.
Whichever version you choose, as per description page warning, if you've not played Point Lookout before you might consider not using the interiors nif as it causes a conditional quest-related message (written later on the inside wall of one tent) to clip a lot. It'll still be readable but will appear and disappear as the tent wall moves in & out. If you don't use the interiors nif the outsides of those tents will still be animated.
hope the few people that still mod Fallout 3 can enjoy this :) - if you want to be helpful , this mod could do with a fallout 3 showcase and some images if you want to get them! - add the video in the comments section and I will imbed into the mod page. I have left the images open on this mod, so you can upload without verification !

But that's ok if you compare it to the many other tents that look much better now
Btw, shameless plug here to my Ranty Old Git's "Keepers" Mod List (which yes, of course, includes Ashens' meshes).
Keep up the great work
I'll try version 1. Thank you!
