Good afternoon. How do I open the More Weapon Variety file.esp so that I can edit it myself? When I try to open it with an editor, the editor refuses to do so. The reason why I want to edit it is because I want to increase the killing power of a combat rifle to that of a hunting rifle.
such a simple mod but adds so much. I love the laser six shooter, I also like how seamlessly the weapons are added to the leveled list, not oversaturated, you still see more default weapons on npcs, so coming across these is always refreshing instead of being predictable. Also one of the few truly lore-friendly weapon packs around, in my opinion. 10/10
I noticed it when Harkness had his fists up when meeting him for the first time. He should have his weapon up but he doesnt equip it since he hasnt got any ammo to go with it. You placed the 5mm LMG in the Chinese Assault Rifle COND list which will spawn the weapon with 5.56 ammo. So in short Harkness had the 5mm LMG with 5.56 rounds.
Either way the 5mm LMG should be put in a general list (not the COND list).
Apart from the laser revolver all of them can be found in other Fallout games. And even the laser revolver isn't unimaginable in the Fallout universe. FO4 even has a laser musket. I don't really see the issue...
i dont know if this will help you or not but i remember i quest mod that had a functional automatic laser rifle i think it was called the patriots or something like that
I just checked it out and unfortunately that mod has a weird reload animation where the mf cell is static. I might be able to do something with the general idea though...
Wow that's a huge list :D Well as I've said the issue was on my part after all. Just remove the old version and download the "Main - Vanilla" file and everything should be fine. You'll even still have the weapons in your inventory. If anything still doesn't work please let me know and once again thanks for pointing out the issues!
Hey man, I'm really sorry but I think I got ahead of myself there. Turns out the models are in fact compatible. I had the energy rifle perform the wrong animation after all. It just wasn't where I had looked. So there will only be one Main file as soon as I find a solution because otherwise the reload animation won't work. Version 1.1.1 probably drops tomorrow. I should really go to bed at this point before I make it any worse :'D
so i downloaded your mod and heres my thoughts the laser revolver has texture problems on the part that the microfusion cell is,also the automatic laser rifle when you fire it the player character holds it only on one hand and it feels really strange,and i think it would be a good idea to change the battle rifle name because theres already a battle rifle in nexus with ddd rifles maybe i dont know mercenary rifle or something like that
Could you elaborate on the texture issues you're experiencing with the laser revolver? I know what causes this now. I'll release an update right away! Thanks for pointing it out. The buggy animation with the automatic laser rifle is probably caused by a mod conflict on your side because it should use the same animation as an assault rifle (I doublechecked). Now that I tripplechecked I found the cause. The model I took from the ironsights mod doesn't work properly with vanilla animations. I'll just a add that mod as a soft requirement though since almost everyone has it anyway. I'll upload a vanilla version though. Regarding the battle rifle I don't think it's too big of an issue since the term refers to a whole class of weapons so having two kinds of battle rifles in a game doesn't have to break immersion.
Update is out. Thanks again! If you want you can post a list of the mods you use and I'll try to parch the animation bug. I could also rename the rifles in that patch.
thanks for answering politely i have tons of weapon mods and fwe installed ,im gonna test the automatic laser rifle with only your mod installed and then proceed to test which one is causing the one hand animation
