I added TTB mid play through so Wilks is not there - I tried to console command him in multiple times but that wouldn't work. Is there a "set stage" to pass this and recruit her?
Found this fix within the original mod page posts.
Wilks not in PFs..? Type this in console commands...
* Prid xx00c983 (best way to find xx on your build is to click on Amanda while in console mode and the xx on her is same for Wilk, mine is 29) * Enable (this solves the problem, Wilk was not enabled) * Moveto player
I am interested in the patch mod, but I got an error message about the bsa file that concerns this mod. Something about the bsa being loaded by the Ties That Bind esp, but intended for use in Oblivion.
My edits are done in a .esp plugin, no bsa involved. Not sure where you got that error but the main mod's bsa should work fine, if the error bothers you though you can extract the bsa and load the assets as loose files.
I really like this mod and that someone is working on it still however was highly disappointing that there is no option to save her life in the end, for does of us that have DLCs it would be nice to keep her alive as a follower even after the quest and all that is completed.
Thx, I think if you fire her as a follower before that ending quest she doesn't get killed. If you've already done the quests and don't want to start over I guess you can try to "ressurrect" her using console commands or something.
Why not have her waiting in Megaton when you use a fast start mod? Where is she in Paradise Falls? If this is such a great companion mod, which it seems to be, why not have her with you when you do the Megaton quests? Better yet why not meet her just outside vault 101?
Because in the original ties that bind mod she gets kidnapped by slavers as soon as you leave the vault. Also, this isnt the original mod its just bugfixes and some scripting to fix her if she breaks. The original modder spent the time and effort to script and code that sequence in as well as voice act the npcs included in it probably not knowing that quick start mods were going to exist, since he last touched ties that bind nine years ago. As for paradise falls, the slaves are kept in the back and the slaver you need to speak to roams around the open area. You just gotta look around.
Hi! Maybe I'm dumb but I cant seem to find the troubleshoot menu when I load up the game. My load order is in order, so I'm not sure what to do. Am i missing something?
Very nice of you to provide support for TTB, it's even making me want to try it… but I'm worried that the main story may be changed too much. I've already completed the game years ago so I'm not afraid of spoilers, but I really don't want significant changes to the game's quests (I prefer additions over changes). So I'd like to ask how drastic are those changes? And do they still happen if Amanda isn't with me? I would be OK with only having Amanda for side quests.
Personally this mod doesn't even feel like a mod, it integrates into the story well enough that it's as if the mod was part of the base game. The main quest is basically the same, but you get a bit of extra dialog and side quests added by this mod. I've had Amanda glitch out on me and stay stuck in a room, and after completing some dialog and teleporting her to me after realizing she was gone she reacted to the dialog from before really late. So I'm not sure how the dialog would work if you fire her but as long as shes following you it should be fine.
I'm curious about my progress and would like some user feedback about this patch: 1) Has my patch broken the mod in any way? 2) Has it fixed any issues for you? 3) How useful is the new teleporter I added? And should I add a remove teleporter option? I'd really appriciate some feedback on this, thanks!
I was having trouble with the original mod so I installed your patch and it didn't fix my issue. Also, your debug item never appeared in my inventory.
Amanda is right where she should be but the slaver you buy her from is nowhere to be found. I've tried disabling all my other mods I've tried. I don't know the id for the slaver or I'd spawn him myself. My issue isn't your mods fault I just wanted to let you know in my case it didn't work. Any advice?
Hmm, how far are you into your playthrough? If it's an early save, I'd say to just start a new game and see if my patch loads up correctly, otherwise check your mod load order to make sure the patch is enabled by your mod manager and in FO3Edit try applying a filter for conflicts and making a manual patch plugin for any conflicts found.
You can check the ID of items and npcs with FO3Edit but I'll post them here:

yy = TiesThatBind.esp load order hex number Wilk (Slaver) - Base ID yy00C981 Reference ID yy00C983

To teleport Wilk to you prid yy00C983 moveto player

These 3 commands will fix it all.
I'm sad I can only endorse this mod once. That beats the hell out of repeated console commands.
