How do u guys install the unofficial patch using Mod Manager. Everytime i install it. It says A problem occured System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown. The mod was not installed. I installed FOSE and it still doesnt work. And i have a 64gig computer. So i have plenty of memory. Hope somebody out their on Earth can help me.
had the same problem, i don't know what fixed it, either that i dowloaded version 3.3 of unofficial patch or that before i was using "create from folder" and now used "add fomod" instead in the package manager
Been looking into this myself since I was getting the same error "System.OutOfMemoryException" trying to install a mod using FOMM for New Vegas. When I looked up "System.OutOfMemoryException" - this was one of the first pages to pop up.
Found a reddit post that says Mod Manager (FOMM) can't install mods over 4gb. Also that may stack with the other mods you have installed since I tried installing mods that were still quite big but not 4gb by themselves big and got the "System.OutOfMemoryException" pop up.
If your mod load out is going to be over 4gb you should look into Mod Organizer (Moo) or Vortex. ------------------- My playthrough is coming to an end soon but I was hoping to extend it with some mods. But next time I'm definitely going to have to try a new mod loader so I can try some of these mods I didnt get to using FOMM. It's going to suck to try to get all these mods into a mod loader again but that's the price we pay to get access to a bunch of free third party content.
I know it's late but he said he would be adding this fix into his stewietweaks mod back in 2020. I'm sure that he's already done it as someone recently stated that tweaks feature included "bDontMirrorTexturesInRAM" or something like that
Using this as part of your Tweaks plugin, I think this is probably the biggest boon to the game's stability. Fallout 3 went from crashing on me once every 45 minutes to... not having a single crash, after a few four hour sessions.
Do you think this is a fix that can also be applied to Oblivion?
Thanks for doing what Bethesda should have done? From what I have read all 32bit DirectX9 games work the same, keeping a copy of all texture in main system Ram even when it is in video card Ram. This limitation doesn't affect older games out of the box because they have smaller textures, but in playing Fallout 3 and Oblivion I definitely had crashes and abnormalities due to running out of RAM (I generally use 2k diffuse map textures and 1k normal maps). Skyrim now has some 8k retexture mods which is overkill.
Also, make sure to enable the 4GB flag in all 32 bit game you mod. ENB can also increase RAM by running another process (you can use it just for ENBoost and disable the graphical effects if you cannot find a preset you like).
Damn, this mod is amazing. When I was at the Capitol building looking toward the Washington Monument I always had a huge stutter that made the camera jump to the other side, but now it's gone. Hiccups still happen occasionally when running around the Wasteland, but it's a lot less annoying now. Will you incorporate it into your Tweaks mod?

Many thanks as ever, Stewie.
; prevents mirroring of VRAM textures in RAM to save memory
bDontMirrorTexturesInRAM = 1
