This mod has waaay too many issues to be fixable plus I rarely play this game and when I do is only TTW. I recommend you move to TTW Fo3 and use the TTW CB found on Fallout New Vegas mods. You can play Fallout 3 using NV engine and it works!

I don't plan on using this mod (wish I could! But I can't run FOSE on my MacOSX) - but do you think disabling Hardcore mod via a terminal in Springfield School is a good idea?

When I use mods like this, I like the configuration options to be directly via the pipboy. If someone has a mod that edits Springfield, for example, the terminals may not be there.

Also, it seems impractical to have to travel to Springfield every time you want to disable the options.

I agree too . Somehow PI is not disabled after you enable Hardcore Mode . Just always say no to hardcore mode then enable things manually later.

Sorry for the ultra late reply. The reason I made you to travel to Springfield every time you wanna change options is because you're not supposed to change options often. In fact my mod is kinda meant to set it and forget it and be more immersive without menu options right in your inventory. I mean if I had something like Mod Configuration Menu in FNV that would be great!

Hi, I am using the very first version of your mod because I want it to be as vanilla as possible. Now when I select the extra settings and set weapon damage to vanilla, everything starts fine but if I save and come off then go back on, all weapons are more powerful as if I have selected the higher damage setting. I have tried disabling the mod and this makes all weapons revert to their proper damage but I'd love to use this mod and keep the vanilla damage. Do you know of a fix?

so the first version of the mod had an issue where game settings where not being saved. i would use version 1 solely for alt start locations but no changing of settings. you might wanna experiment with slightly later versions. One of the versions will mention that the setting persistence is fixed.

You should copy your sticky message to the damn DESCRIPTION page so people don't waste their time reading all that (and possibly trying the mod) before reading your message here that it's broken & abandoned anyway. Better still, just remove the mod.

Hello! i use mod Simple Needs Expanded Simple needs do not work because CB replaces food.
Even when I turn off CB needs, all the same simple needs do not work.
Note1: Simple Needs Expanded mod works correctly, but all food except alcohol does not replenish the needs.

How to make sure that your mod does not replace food?

Maybe some kind of compatibility patch?

all i want is an alternate start mod but this mod just fucks with every little aspect of the game and makes it unplayable i do not recommend even downloading this trash.

I'm slowly building my mod list for my next playthrough. I am using your mod as base and besides that, fixes and graphic improvement I am only plan to add quests and land/interiors expansions.
So, after adding some mods, I fire a new alternate beginning and play for a while for testing. So far so good, but the Outcast beginning showed me that when aiming with the laser rifle that is in your inventory by default, the ironsight mesh is broken. The back of the rifle covers your whole view, crosshair included.

EDIT: Forget what I said. Collision Meshes was overwriting your mod's laser rifle mesh

Now, do you have any idea how bad The Mantis Imperative could conflict with your mod? Particularly, the plugins The Mantis Imperative - Jello.esp and The Mantis Imperative - Medical.esp.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I barely check this anymore. TO answer your question first I have no idea how my mod will interact with Mantis Imperative but it appears to be a primary needs type mod? Simply disable my primary needs. Afaik no mods have direct compatibility patches with my mod because I made it so late in FO3 history. Fallout was released in 2003 and I started working on this mod in 2015 . Practically forgotten and buried by other mods.

But note that you are free to contribute, change, add, modify anything. While you may not be able to get assets you can still modify the esp and create patches and in fact I may add those patches over here if you wish.

There are many bugs that still present in my mod sadly. I fixed quite a lot of them jumping from 1.3 to 1.9 but there are still here and there.

The most obvious issue is the interaction between my mod and RH ironsights. Obvs RH ironsights is more complete than my ironsights but since I got my own ironsights built in it conflicts. What you need to do is install rh over my mod then place rh after my mod in the mod list that way it overrides most of the weapons. Sadly since it overrides weapons it may also override some of the changes I made.

The other obvious culprit would be primary needs type mods. You need to explicitly disable PI don't select hardcore mode instead select ammo weights from the starting shack and disable everything you don't need.

The third culprit is custom menus. Sadly there is no compatibility patch. So that means if you wish to play a custom menu is recommended you do not use ammo weights or my built in PI mod simply select hardcore no.
