It would, indeed, if it was possible, but animated textures don't work with normalmaps.
I've tried to play with collisions to have a water effect when shot or walked in but that didn't work.
WJS (Master of VFX) offered to have look and see if particles can be added to make splashes, so maybe after that we can have an enhanced version. For the time being, it's all I can offer.
I would love to see these rivers and waterfalls placed in game throughout both newvegas and fo3. Maybe its too much to ask but these two games really do need some rivers.
These are resources for modding, you'll need to go through the Geck, create new Statics with these objects then place them in the Worldcell you want and save as .esp or .esm.
You can turn off the glowing at night, by using the *External Emittance* flag. Doing so lets things with alpha (like 4333 alpha) to tone down their opacity depending on time-of-day.
Man! I was so hoping that the hint in description would make you raise an eyebrow! Yes, I would love you to take a look at it, I've tried myself but it's still too much out of reach for me yet.
The waterfall in particular is very impressive, I always really loved the ones in Oblivion & it's great that Fallout now gets the chance of having some. I think they would probably be quite fun to set in place & create unique features.
Looking at them more technically & they are a quite fascinating use of animated textures, simple yet yielding a very believable effect.
Had no clue you had this project up your sleeve, incredible how many clever things you've produced.
Thank-you kindly for yet another fabulous resource, Endorsed.
"Had no clue you had this project up your sleeve" Had no clue either! Thanks to BourgeoisBanana's request I came back to look at these clever pieces of creation.
I remember having looked at the river meshes, when I was starting to study textures animation, but I didn't remember the waterfall. It is indeed, technically, a little pearl, so simple and yet quite effective in game, with the appropriate sound, it's perfect! Respect to the original creators!
Can I use them to create modifications for Tale of Two Wastelands. I would like to also use other resources you have shared on the Nexus for these modifications, if you agree that I could do it? Of course, credits will be granted.
Hello insaneplumber, Anything for FO3 or FNV is fine. If released on other site, please send me a pm with the link, thank you. (I like to see what people do with the stuff I release)
There will be more of these soon, including shorewaves and waterfalls! Keep tracking!
Nice! The shorewaves I can use (eventually) in a few tropical-themed house mods I have archived. They could also be used along much of the Potomac, down by Rivet City.
This was so needed so long ago. But as they say "Better late than never". I was hoping for a long time that we could get these ported over. There are so many places they can be used. You should also post then over on the "Fallout New Vegas" mods as the games do use the same assets and they are interchangeable. Allot of New Vegas modders don't bother coming here looking for assets and they really should. They forget the games are on the same engine and most of the assets can be used back and forth without issue. Anyway great mod and I have very big plans for them. Will credit you and the others when and if my plans come to a released mod.
I could have done this a little earlier but I tend to forget about my old plans... (old age probably) It will go to NV, eventually, with my misc resources. Thanks for downloading.

For the shorewaves, it'll take a little more time to translate from Oblivion to FO animation language...
It would be mutch better if you add some normal or refraction effect

You can always place a request in the forums, pointing to this resource.

Gonna add some particle gushes?
I can take a look if you want

These are really quite beautiful!
