So, this might be a dumb question, but even after reading the description I'm a bit confused... What's the difference between this mod, and the "SIK - with static - better range" main file from GNR - Sound Improvement Kit ?

Also, after completing the Galaxy News Radio quest, is everything as if this mod was not installed ? I'm asking because usually I prefer to keep things as vanilla as possible in my games, but the weak range before you complete the GNR quest is annoying to me, hence my interest in this mod.

Thanks in advance for your answer - and for this mod - theicedevil  :)

Edit : So, after testing SIK (the other mod), there is actually no static near Megaton, so I don't see the point of using it. I'm definitely going with this one (theicedevil's) , because it actually works. I still have my other question though, what's the effect of completing the GNR quest ? Will it remove the static and increase the range like in vanilla ?

The Galexy News Radio quest, which is part of the main quest, sends you off on a mission to repair the damaged GNR broadcast antenna.

Yes, I know that, but it does not answer my question ^^' My question is : with this mod installed, what will it do to complete the quest ? Will it boost the signal the same way it would in vanilla after the quest, or will it have absolutely no effect at all ? Because I do want to complete the quest eventually

I thought that I made this pretty clear on the description page.  Anyhow, completing the quest will boost the signal just like in the vanilla game.

Yeah, you're right, it is pretty clear. It's just that I prefer to be sure, since you always take a risk when you install a mod, especially with UUF3P being compatible with very few mods. Sorry for wasting your time with stupid questions, and thanks for answering me anyway :) Kudos for you

I tested this in TTW, and while the Three-Dog part of it works great (lots of static, can barely hear him, especially at a place like Raven Rock), the music is consistently loud. however, I think this may be a TTW thing or a problem on my end, and not the mod...

Yeah, I've noticed this in my gameplay. Seems to work on the radios turned to the GNR good but not the Pipboy radio. Yes, it could be how the FNV engine handles the radio signals, and right now I don't know how to fix it. It's station still has static though, so overall it doesn't bother me very much. I just pretend that the pipboy comes with a better receiver than the Radiation Kings that have zero maintenance since before the great war.

ah, well good to know I'm not the only one. mod works fine otherwise and it's a great idea overall so thumbs up from me.
