The idea of this mod was born out of a bit of a frustration of wanting to hear the GNR radio station without feeling the need to force myself to complete the GNR quest that fixes the radio signal. I wanted something that was immersive, that allowed me to be able to not miss any of Three-Dogs commentary about the Lone Wanderer's actions, no matter were I was in the DC Wasteland at the time. There are a couple of mods out their that do similar things, but I wasn't very happy with any of them. One mod Boosts signal to 100% breaking the need to do the GNR quest as well as breaking the immersion of a few dialogue moments and one scripted moment when you first enter Moriarty's Saloon. The other mod was arguably more immersive by nearly doubling the signal strength but you would ultimately lose the signal completely whenever you travel into the norther or western areas of the DC Wasteland. So I made my own that strikes a balance between both of these two mods, retaining the immersion of signal lose but still being able to hear the signal no matter what part of the DC wasteland you were in at the time.
Immersive GNR Signal Boost simply quadruples the GNR radios signal strength as well as quadruples the Static. So now when you are all the way out in Raven Rock, the signal is very faint and very heavy with static, but you can still hear it and make out Three Dog and the music. And, in Megaton the signal is a lot clearer, but still very heavy with static, which will not break immersion when Gob is banging on the radio. It will also give you an excuse to do that GNR quest so you can fix the GNR signal and have a 100% clear and static free signal throughout the entire Capital Wasteland.
